I was talking to Kuroten about this and in general with anyone that plays Tekken, Noctis feels like Jin, but a lot easier to play and he has a lot of crushing properties and has better oki. Of course, in the right hands Jin is stronger, but only Atif Butt can bring out the potential of Jin and, let's face it, we're not him XD So yeah, I agree, Noctis is a better version of Jin due to these factors.
I've skimmed through the video just enough to have a feel for it & I'd felt like some things were a bit exaggerated or shown as exclusivity available to Noctis only. Though I'll check this video fully and your other stuff in your channel aswell
Try Kunimitsu. Qcf1 i16 punish(almost full screen dagger) and her f,d,df2(i14 launch) are both bufferable from block stun. She can always punish anything, she has better mixups, maybe worse df1, but better extensions, amazing b2 powercrush and try sidestepping qcf1+2(check out the range on that). Im not even talking about 2,2 which is superior to noctis 2,2 in everything except range. She has better sidestep and backdash than Noctis. And her Set2 is basically Noctis ff1+2 with easier input. Broken okizeme, too. Noctis f2? A joke, compared to Kuni qcf1. No sidestep/walk for you. Ever. Want to get in? I have better backdash. Want to get out? I can get in no effort. Want to outpoke me? I can do generic tekken or gimmicks better than 9/10 tekken characters. Want to mix me up? I'll mix you up better than Marduk. She has -13 dagger from crouch. Db4 is i17 -12 +-0 +8(ch). She has a crouch jab. She can mix u up from a crouch jab. Her ws 3 is a jump. Her uf34 are DOUBLE knees(no reversals). She has an i13 wallsplat(noctis does not). She requires less execution than "dash jab noctis" wall carry.
She is a much, much more broken package than Noctis. Her 2,2 is ridiculously overbuffed, particularly the exaggerated damage on the 3rd and 4th hits if you decide to sidewalk Katon stuff and get clipped by the 3rd hit (anti-movement). BUT Noctis operates with a strict Jin archetype. Therefore, he would be much stronger *in my hands* than Kunimitsu would ever be. I like to believe a Kunimitsu in my hands probably wouldn't have anything special or remarkable. When it comes to Noctis, he is basically Jin, but the main difference is I can move.
Your Jin has a sword and now you're playing Noctis who uses like 5 different weapons... Bro, don't be shy and play Yoshi... You can even use flash as a substitute for parry and cd1 as electric. Edit: Also, f1+2 is basically f4 😅
The thing is... long-range shenanigans aside, Noctis follows a *strict Jin archetype* But unlike Jin, he can actually *move* - and move well at that. The fact that you "think Jin" and "act Jin" makes him much more appealing to me than Yoshi. I see Yoshi as more of a party animal with lotsa room for creativity/innovation. It's definitely my biggest T7 regret: if I happened to check on this guy at the start of my T7 journey, my life expectancy would be improved by 2 years at least. L M A O I will surely resent that I didn't give Final Fantasy Bro a chance in 2022. :/

I genuinely like videos pointing at how overpowered dlc characters are and I know this topic is personal to you being a Jin main, but I would prefer videos mostly focused on one character since comparing two whole characters is a nuanced and complex thing to fit in a video. Both Noctis and Jin have so many useful key moves in their arsenal, there are some stuff Jin has that Noctis is missing and some stuff Noctis has that Jin lacks. Noctis is waaay stronger, over-tuned and busted because he is dlc like many other dlc characters, so why not just make it about them next time. I know you said this was your last video on T7 but you could turn it into a series, each video covering a different dlc character showing off their broken stuff. My point was Noctis is bullshit why not just make it simpler by saying Noctis is bullshit. You don't have to convince anyone about anything Jin related and go into too much detail. Another thing this is mostly semantics but I wanted to help avoid future misunderstandings. There are couple of terms floating around each meaning something different. Reactable, Seeable, Fuzziable or Fuzzy guardable. Reactable describes a move which no matter when and where you are and what you are doing, you will react to it. Like snake edges or throws etc. Seeable refers to moves that may not be reliably blocked in the open every time but are quite consistently blockable in anticipation. When you are expecting a specific move your eyes are looking for a specific set of movements it almost feels like slow motion it becomes doable. Moves I could think of would be claudio d2,2 or maybe some hatchet meaty type lows maybe like heihachi db2. And Fuzziable as you probably know anyway are moves you can block based on timing and expectation. What you quoted MainMan saying is helsweep is not reactable. If it was it wouldn't be even used at all. Some people argue that it's seeable and some say it's not, but what you presented in the video in practice in the infinite stage was you fuzzy guarding the mixup between only 2 moves, one significantly different from the other both in timing and animation. And at the end I just wanted to say good luck on the pc man take care.
I wasn't fuzzy guarding the mixup: I was *reacting* to it. There is a previous video where I prove the reactability by putting 5 different random mixup options. IIRC, it involved also db4 (which is the same martial art technique than LLRK and same startup), ecd1, ff3, ff2. But you see... it's so easily fuzzyable that the person can easily assume the guy on the other side of the screen is fuzzying the mixup. It ends up only proving my point further. 😆 Thank you so much for taking your time, man. For real. I don't do more videos like this one frequently because editing them take up so much work and time, and I barely have any subscribers. So far, it's not more than a hobbyist channel.
