Road house is an Amazon film
Echo Dot was in the background listening he would have gotten swatted in seconds
The comparison is more about a streaming service not putting movies out theatrically.
@@jaybling6687 nah John said Liman did Road House with Apple
@@khanmimaad Ah, I guess I missed him saying that.
John is showing his age now lol
Hate to be the “um actually” guy, but Doug Liman’s Road House was an Amazon movie.
Glad it wasn't just me who caught that
Um actually I think it’s the cinema aspect, not the company aspect, but yes that kinda gave me pause
Road House was Amazon Prime
Jon Watts was also pissed they revealed a huge spoiler in their trailer that he didn't sign off on.
Doug Liman’s roadhouse movie was made by Amazon, but I can see how John messed that up considering both Amazon and Apple start with an A.
Wasn’t roadhouse Amazon ?
roadhouse was made by amazon not apple
doug linemen was talking about Amzaon for Road house right not apple?
I was planning to see Wolfs in theater but it didn't play here. I don't have Apple+ so I still haven't seen it.
John is wrong about the car analogy Christopher Nolan put in his contract that Oppenheimer must have a 100 day theatrical release. Its possible to have directors put theatrical release in their contract. Even Scarlett Johansson made the studios pay given she was promised a theatrical release.
Roud House was made by Amazon, not Apple, so as far as I know Watts is the first A level creative complaining about Apple. Coda director was very positive and others like Scorsese have not said anything negative about them... Wonder what really happened in this case.
Those two movies were in the theater. His wasn't. This is why hes mad at Apple and the other two weren't
WOLFS as a movie was boring...plain simple. Trailer was exiting.
Coda was Apple. They make great films that no one watches.
Great! We need more of this!! Stop collaborating with Netflix and apple and other bad actors in this space!
I saw Wolfs. Apple's better off without Watts.
You misunderstood the situation a little bit. Watts was hired to do a sequel. He took their money and agreed. He just asked that they not announce it yet. When they did, he returned the money for the sequel and walked away.
Idk why streaming services doesn’t want to make money from theaters. That would help their services for years and years. Theaters are so profitable 💯
I never understood that either
Could be that Apple had no faith in the movie so they just brought it to streaming, yall did make a commitment though so his point still stands regardless.
I loved Wolfs
Wolves was TERRIBLE. I couldn't watch more than 45 minutes. It was SOOOO BADD. So the director can say what he wants, his movie was GARBAGE
Couldn’t agree more!! We turned it off after 45 wasted minutes too.
Wasn’t roadhouse Amazon prime
Why they are killing movies, realising them on streaming platform before giving a chance to succeed in the box office.
Wolfs was pretty bad. i forced myself to finish it for some reason. I dont think it wouldve made money. maybe just the 1st week.
I still have to try wolfs
Don't. It's terrible.
I would not spend extra to release wolfs in the theater. It was pretty bad.
I’ll have to look into this myself , you got some big facts wrong right in the beginning lmao all good
Amazon
I would have watched wolves if it was released in theaters. To me if if they had the confidence in the movie it would have been in theaters. I hardly watch movies made for a streaming service it like direct to DVD/video movies. I didn't even watch the newest roadhouse movie. The only streaming movie I watched in the last 2 years was the sequel to glass onion. Only reason for that is I couldn't watch it in the theater as it was playing too far for me. I know I might miss some movies that are good but majority I don't think is worth it.
Watts should return his iPhone and iPads.
Lol
Eh... Oh well. I really enjoyed the first half, then that movie just lost me.
Road House is an Amazon film. Campea, please be good at your job. I say, please.
The first one was wack let’s be honest.
Apple has stringent budgets; if something isn't working or they are spending too much money, they cut it. There is a reason Apple always has good numbers. Cook doesn't play games with Apple's money; he tries not to waste money.
Yet they are wasting money Apple TV
Watts was unhappy because he didn't get to hang around with Angelina Jolie and Amal Clooney.
It’s because Apple was losing a lot of money making theatrical releases.
Road House was actually made by Hallmark Movies Now.
Interesting
WOLVES!
I think most studios should start cancelling many of these up-coming 200 to 300 million budget movies starring A- listers unless it’s stars Tom Cruise.
How do you know a PR person is lying, the lips are moving.
Information manipulation is literally a description of the work.
But suppose they lie "outward", not informing people you work with that your lying to consumers ... do you really do that all the time?
to me i dont like wolfs film but they deserved at least 2 months in theaters
Jon Watts has too much wattage in him.
Making a movie is like making a baby, if I paid for someone to have a baby would it be mine?
Shrinking is bad. It totally falls apart after the first season.
