    The fact that you actually and frequently respond to comments is impressive. Ordering one for IWB and my P365 as soon as I can solve my reliability issue, which for the moment I am attributing to the choice of ammo or a bad lot of it.

      Well, you may be right after all. Just watched a Glover video on grip. Very detailed video for something that seems on the surface to be so simple or intuitive. So now, I'm not so sure that I don't limp-wrist this thing. The confusing part is that with a 1911 .45ACP, I don't have the reliability issues that I have with my two 9MM's. More time on the range is needed. Oh darn!

    I know I'm late here but you could make a two-layer belt with slots to tuck clips into so they're a little more subtle, if it's absolutely necessary to clip onto the belt.

    If you're wearing high waisted pants I'd suggest getting your shirt shortened a little so you don't have as much material to pull out. For low waist appendix carry is also an option although the clips will be more visible of course.

    I wear a suit everyday. Do you think tugging on your shirt to get to your gun is better/faster than pulling it out of your pocket? I carry a small Sig P238, so it easily fits in my pocket. I go back and forth between methods. Not sure which is better.

    • @proteqcustomgear
      @proteqcustomgear  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      With a P238 I'd go with pocket carry. You can have your hand on the gun inside your pocket which is a nice option to have. It's a little harder to get to when seated, however, so if you're sitting a lot then I'd consider carrying on my waistline.

      @@proteqcustomgear Thanks for the reply! I like pocket carry because it's easier, but my CCW instructor is very much against it. I live in Cali which means getting a CCW requires a lot of training and classes, so I have hours of listening to why pocket carry is bad. His #1 reason is because the holster isn't easily removed, which is kind of true. #2 reason is he says it's slower. But i'm not so sure. Either way, my thing is .. it's better than nothing.

    SUGGESTION! Use the self wicking undergarments. They are made of smooth synthetic fabrics. Very comfortable and most importantly, low friction. A cotton dress shirt worn over a cotton undershirt and boxers (or briefs), have too much drag. As for the dress shirt, if cotton, get the “pinpoint” Oxford shirt. Smaller fibers, finer-smaller stitching which lowers friction.
    Wicking golf shirts or polos as some refer to them. Select shirts with patterns to get a low viz look even if it slightly prints. Only gun people might notice. Sheeple will never know you’re packing.

    Don't tell me. Show me.
    I get so insanely frustrated trying to tuck my shirt in. If I have my pants un-done to get room to fit my hand in, my pants just fall down. If I tried turning my pants and shirt towards the front, so that I can tuck it in more easily and hold my pants up, then when I Square it out my shirt is all twisted weird.

    Everything was solid until you called the magazine a "clip". There are numerous articles defining the difference between magazine and clip and so many people confuse the two. It's not the same. A clip holds rounds together to feed into a magazine. A magazine holds the ammo and gets inserted into the weapon. I'm not condemning you for the mistake, just trying to help reinforce the difference so gun owners know better.

      Smart Carry rigs are fantastic! I carried one myself for 4 years while in college. They are great for deep concealment when not wanting to risk any printing whatsoever. HOWEVER, they are slow on the draw, they make it nearly impossible to pee standing up, they wear out in about a year of regular daily use, causing you to have to buy a new one each year, they absorb and create heat like a fat hog, becoming quite smelly quite fast, and they require two hands to effectively draw. One other plus, depending on how you look at it, is that they do create a bit of a bulge in the nether region especially when sitting.
