It’s heartbreaking to think all the joy she provided and yet there wasn’t a way to for her fans reciprocate effectively. I apply this to all the talented people who left us much too early. It’s almost a curse.
Love this song. It’s sad too. Reminds me to a kitty I had that passed away long ago. And of course, Dolores was great. Gone too soon. Love your channel for your genuine reactions. It’s funny, emotional, sincere. My suggestions: Duran Duran’s “Save a Prayer”, “Rio”, “Ordinary World”, “Come Undone”. “Butterfly Girl” is a newer and great song too. “Anniversary” is their new single from their new album. Really cool. Cheers.
If I was in a plane, train, car, or boat & I knew I wasn't gonna live through it I'd listen to this song & ride out my last minutes or seconds with a happy smile on my face.
I agree with you. Not my idea of a guilty pleasure, but just a beautiful song and a great showcase of the late Delores O'Riordan's amazing vocal talents. BTW, the thing she does with her voice in this song is called "Keening."
This was a band favorite. I saw a bunch of their live concert videos and they used it for an encore song every show. I also love “ Stars” - fine song plus very well done official video too !
Yeah, I'm smh at people who think this is a guilty pleasure. It's an amazing song and no matter how many times you hear it, it's impact never diminishes. This is one of the songs that helped create the soundtrack of the 90's and deserves respect.
Yeah, I think some people are taking the notion of "guilty" pleasure a bit loosely, to say the least. Several of the songs you've reacted to this month have been totally decent and respectable, just like this one. But hey, at least it's an excuse for you to react to more good music, and for us to enjoy those reactions, so it's all good. 😉
I've never been one to be a fanboy for celebrities, but her passing actually got me really sad. I'm really disappointed in myself that I never went to see them...
Give a listen to the Chinese singer Faye Wong's version of this song, which was featured in the soundtrack of the movie 'Chungking Express.' Faye sings it beautifully!
Great song! Something a little different for your reaction is Midnight Sister’s “Limousine” (2021). It’s in the disco vein, with an urban feel, and it has a strong bassline. There's even a reference to Alice in Wonderland in the album's cover art and title, Painting the Roses.
You're right! This isn't a guilty pleasure song. If you feel that way about a song, don't react to it with the caption (guilty pleasure). Wait until next month when the guilty pleasure month is over and resume the regular format.
Please make my day and do Donna Summer.love to love you studio version, I Feel love from Live and more Encore, enough is enough, and this time i know it's for real. Please please do these and be the most awesome music reactor again!
@@duhusker4383 "Keening is a traditional form of vocal lament for the dead in the Gaelic Celtic tradition, known to have taken place in Ireland and Scotland. Keening, which can be seen as a form of sean-nós singing, was performed in the Irish and Scottish Gaelic languages" Singing. SINGING.
Not a guilty pleasure for anyone, though I was going to see them in Portsmouth and they cancelled and ended up getting food poisoning from a British rail sandwich instead
Good day miss dayone pls check this out the DOLORES O'RIORDAN OF THE PHIL HER NAME IS CHAR OF THE FRANZ RYTHM FAMILY BAND THIS 15YRS OLD GIRL Lead singer is a combination of DOLORES THE LEAD SINGER AND THE DRUMMER FAERGAL LAWLER OF THE CRANBERRIES THIS AMAZING COVERRED BY SISTERS CHAR AND CHEN A VERY SIMILAR TO THE ORIGINAL WATCH DOLORES RESURRECTED AGAIN 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Angela, Delores doesn't yodel. she Keens. it is imprinted in her DNA. Irish women Keen at wakes and funerals. not so much nowadays but it definitely still happens in some communities, I've heard it myself a few times. I saw the Cranberries in Galway in a small venue, just about the time they became huge at the end of the 1980's they were a fun band. RIP Delores.
Its not yodelling, its keening, a type of Celtic wailing, women did it when a family member died or you could hire professional keeners/mourners. It probably never sounded as good as this. It was common in Ireland and the Scottish highlands until the last century.
@@jonnys66 I edited it about 30 seconds after I posted it. Your initial response was rather pretentious and you can claim no offence now till the cows come home. Clearly, you took offence or you wouldn't have responded. What does being American have to do with anything? If you think me derogatory, you now just painted an entire group of people with a negative brush. Again, don't be a jerk. It's unbecoming.
This is not a guilty pleasure! It's just good music! 👍
RIP Dolores
Delores O'Riordan was her name. Her contribution was short but joyful. RIP.
It’s heartbreaking to think all the joy she provided and yet there wasn’t a way to for her fans reciprocate effectively. I apply this to all the talented people who left us much too early. It’s almost a curse.
The voice of an angel taken far, far too soon. RIP Delores 💙 You left us one hell of a love song.
God rest dear Dolores. Such a beautiful lady with such an angelic voice. ❣
Their best songs are "Linger" and "Ode to my Family"
Beautiful melody, splendid harmonies...love it!
Yeah, definitely not a 'guilty' pleasure. First heard this band at an Irish bar in Wildwood, NJ. Thanks. R.I.P. dear Dolores.
I fell in l love with this lady from the first note. She will be missed more than she could ever know. RIP we miss you and love you.
Brings back lots of good memories from my senior year.
Love this song and The Cranberries. This song always takes me back to You’ve Got Mail❤️❤️❤️
This song isn't just sonically beautiful, it also states the pure hope of love.

Anyone who feels "guilty" for liking this song needs to get out and live more.
Fyi - It's called "Keening" not yodeling.
Forever in our hearts, never forgotten, and always missed. RIP Dolores!
The Cranberries are simply a pleasure, no guilt involved. RIP Dolores. :(
It 's their best song Good choice!

I love her Irish accent.
That voice OMG, love the Irish accent, RIP!
Same
I love the "keening" she does when she sings which is not really yodeling. Which btw is an Irish way of emoting
I have zero guilt about loving this hypnotic song. It's unique and has powerful mood altering vibe.

Definitely no guilt with this one. One of the best songs by a widely beloved band.
Brilliant reaction to a beautiful song ny an astounding great band!
It's "keening," rather than yodelling... it's a traditional Irish thing - a whail, or lament, for a loved one, usually at funerals and wakes.
This soundtrack was recorded when they were just starting out and she was 18yr old or so. Who can’t love Delores harmonizing with herself.
RIP Delores....you left too soon.
Thanks for a great reaction! RIP Sweet Dolores.
Definitely not a guilty pleasure. It simply is a pleasure
Correct, that confused me as well. Guilty about what, liking such a beautiful song.
Dreams is one of the best songs from the 90s, is not any guilty pleasure
Dolores will never be forgotten
For some reason, whenever I hear this song, I immediately feel like I'm about to watch the movie trailer for a 90s RomCom.
I think all of us from this era miss Delores , RIP sweet lady.
Her name was Dolores, not Delores.
This was a band favorite. I saw a bunch of their live concert videos and they used it for an encore song every show. I also love “ Stars” - fine song plus very well done official video too !
The Cranberries "Twenty One" shows her range is a cute, short song.

It's keening. No yoddling. Respect tho for liking n listening to a fellow female Irish artist of mine 🇮🇪😎✌️😬
Such a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice and a beautiful personality. She really was a treasure to this world that we lost way too soon...
angelic vocals.

For perhaps the third time in your countdown, this is not a guilty pleasure. LOL
Beautiful song.

That's a name I haven't heard in a while. I loved her song from the Final Fantasy 8 soundtrack.
Eternal Dolores!! The cranberries
Great song Angela!

One of my favorite songs by anybody!
ephemeral. then replay. wish one could replay a life.
Someone feels guilty for liking this song? Whaaaat?
Linger is their best song
Definitely check out Linger, Dreams and Ode To My Family and maybe When You're Gone and Promises too by The Cranberries
Actually, this IS Dreams.
Beautiful song....
2 down👍👍🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯also one of my favourite bands
This song reminds me of that movie “Boys on the Side” starring Drew Barrymore.
It was featured in the movie
My only guilty pleasure with The Cranberries is laughing at the guys and their early hair choices. You should check out her solo albums too.

not the same but paramore daydreaming as the same vibe only doloris voice is out of this world
Lisa Loeb - Stay
She wasn't yodelling lol that's just the Irish accent! 🇮🇪 🎶
It's keening, it's a separate thing entirely from her accent.

Why is this a guilty pleasure? Great songs aren't guilty pleasures.
Irish people do that sound
React to "Fee Fi Fo" by The Cranberries
"Crash The 95 Mix" by The Primitives

Agree…it’s a Celtic wail and most definitely not some kind of yodelling. Keep some respect here.
so this song is about a death? i thought it was a romatic love song.
