    From the clip, this feels like a Ted Lasso-style piano, and I am 100% here for it.

    full marks on this one... the raw piano sounds like the piano i learned on, really takes me right into a creative head space. the secondary sounds, hammers, mechanical sounds, player rustle, all make it feel lively.

    I love James Joshua Otto’s demos of these libraries, because he naturally composes and plays with so much depth and emotion.

    Congratulations Fracture Sounds! Woodchester Piano is my favorite upright felt piano and Homestead Piano has to be the most beautiful non-felted upright! It's so warm and intimate, absolutely gorgeous! :)

    Any information about how many dynamic layers? :)

      Probably “enough”:-)

    • @fracturesounds

      4 dynamics and up to 7 round robins, with additional programming to make it sound like more.

    Beautiful sound, what about dynamics and round robins though? I've been wanting a piano with lots of character like this one but they are never deeply sampled like Noire, CFX, etc. but those very clinical-sounding sometimes

    • @AlonsoJoaquinComposer

      @@fracturesounds Noooooo, please Fracture Sounds make a pro version with at more dynamics in the future (at least 10 but ideally more if you have a robot to sample them, which I recommend since the most praised sampled pianos have used robots) that'd be so sick. This is the best piano tone of its kind I've heard but 4 dynamics is very limiting for a piano

    • @fracturesounds

      @@AlonsoJoaquinComposer We've captured this piano in a range that we think suits it best, but there is additional programming under the hood to extend that dynamic range.
      We will never use robots to sample pianos because when we sample, we're listening for subtle changes in timbre which can vary per note depending on velocity. It is the timbre change, rather than volume difference, that is more important when constructing dynamic layers across all of our products.
      Aside from our creative choices, practically including that much detail would take more than a week of recording (this project took three days), which would drastically increase the cost of the product, and the storage footprint would be more like 50GB, which is an impractical amount for one instrument for many composers we know and talk to.
      So to summarise, the reason we don't include details of round robins and dynamic layers in our videos is because we want composers to listen to the sounds of the instruments rather than pre-judge them on specifications. There are also plenty of third-party reviews now on TH-cam if you want to hear the thoughts of other composers.
      Thanks for watching anyway!

    Can the piano continue to release the note trail after we let go of the key or after the bar ends in Ableton or is there a way to do that such as in Pearl Concert Grand?

    • @fracturesounds

      Yes, you would just continue to hold down the sustain pedal (CC64)

    • @garyalanjocherdejuan2809

      I don't have a keyboard or a pedal. How would I achieve this in Ableton and the kontakt library?@@fracturesounds

    • @fracturesounds

      @@garyalanjocherdejuan2809 I would recommend investing in a keyboard and sustain pedal to get the most out of this particular product. However, if you don't own a sustain pedal you can programme MIDI CC using Envolope > Dropdown select MIDI Ctrl > Below select Sustain - CC64 and you can now draw this into the automation lane
