Thanks for this Marcus, fantastic. Where else have you talked about using tuned-down electric piano for your bass sound? Just trying it now with a Logic electric piano tuned down -24 with some UA Culture Vulture distortion and it sounds fantastic.
He's guilty of doing it in most Blueprint Walkthroughs! th-cam.com/video/6CiSyK11L2U/w-d-xo.html
What a lovely documentary! You are making it difficult for me to resist another purchase! On the face of it, I don't really need this library. However, your products are so well-written and the best compliment I can give is that the instruments often have a story behind them that makes me want to be part of 🙂
How to install that sir?? Do you have tutoriall to install that? Sir?
this is so beautiful... congrats
Beautiful i love it, your song calm my soul and it is very inspirational to do a another like it !
This is way better than a free library has a right to be, thank you so much! Great demo by Andre, too 👌 Now, this is probably a dumb question that might show up my lack of experience using Kontakt, but is there any way to set this up as a multi output player to send different bits of the kit into individual channels? Now if you were to sample an old Ludwig with coated heads and thuddy, muted tuning/tea towels in the same top notch way... Just take my money!
I want a brass band library.
Wow sounds very authentic to my ears. Well done FS team.

Excellent!
Wonderful and congratulations with this library! :)
I started with the BTS before actual documentary itself. This should be fun, lol
Sounds really great!
Thank you!
Nice one Marcus. Soloists are in the bag.
Aren't they just. Cheers!
Absolutely loved the music when I was watching the documentary - excellent work Marcus!
Much appreciated Joe, thank you!
I started my musical journey on cornet in 1981, ironically I gave it up as it was loud and only played one note - I realised years later, thats most of what I did on electric guitar! Great video, it genuinely gave me warm memories of childhood and that whole brass band world, even though I live in London. Now I want to get this and write brass parts again :o)
I'm currently writing some Arabic music... so not really had a chance to use this just yet - But very much looking forward to making something more "Skyrim" with BBS soon after!
Look forward to hearing it!
Eeeeh, by heck, this'll be grand for me Big Big Train Mock-Ups! :)
Im Healed!! Fractured Sounds is everything I miss about what Spitfire Audio once was😊
Love that conical bore sound! As a lifelong cornet player in the states, I was an anomaly in most every group. I found that with a "screech" mouthpiece I could come very close to sounding harsh like the trumpet players but when I used a symphonic mouthpiece no one could match my mellow cornet tone, LOL! This library has that unmatched mellow tone across the range of instruments. Bravo!
Thank you so much for the lovely comment!
You've found a way to make me finally like wind chimes.
Wow. What an amazing film - congratulations Will, Alex, Angus and Marcus. Such a testament to the love and care you’ve poured into this library. ❤
Congratulations Fracture Sounds folks and all the brilliant musicians involved - you have produced an amazing library, totally unique! Our challenge as composers is to use it in a way that compliments the expertise of the musicians and represents the spirit of the Brass Band community!
Thanks for the kind words! We hope that library owners will not only create traditional brass band compositions but will integrate these softer brass sounds into their own compositional styles for new contemporary scores, redefining brass as an instrument that can be used beyond the 'epic' genre!
@@fracturesoundsI'm also delighted to see that you recorded this library in a studio within a stone's throw of where I lived for many years!
Congratulations on the release and a brilliant video!
Well done guys, it's certainly a breath, excuse the pun, of fresh air. Being an old Cornet player back in the day, this library came as a pleasant surprise. You got it so right, (sniffle). My heart melted as soon as I heard it. Absolutely gorgeous. The only library creator that I know that has emotion stitched into their products. 🥰
Thanks dude
I've always loved brass bands - probably due to attending Durham Miners' Gala in Durham when I was a child. After around 50 years I finally got round to attending again and it was as wonderful as I remembered - and I could have a few pints this time! I can highly recommend it as a great day out!
Great film by the way!
What a terrific short documentary! I love this library and to get the back stories is an added bonus when writing for these instruments. I wish other library companies produced mini docs like this. Such a valuable and inspirational in-site. Thanks and keep up the great work.
Glad to hear you're loving the library!
Awesome! Keep up the good work!
Wonderful. I really hope that eventually we will be able to build an entire Brass Band from samples.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! X
Great documentary. Love it! And congratulations for this very, very interesting and well done sample library!
Thanks so much!
Thanks for this very interesting documentary. I love the movie “Brassed Off”, especially the music in it. This library captures the essence of that music, and I’m very happy with my purchase. I have several orchestral libraries with brass, but none sound as realistic as this, with the “golden” tone I aspired to when I played trumpet in my youth.
Thanks so much for your kind words!
This library immediately grabbed my attention for two reasons. The first is the tone : I was born in northern France where the brass band ("fanfare") culture was strong (along with the coal mines...), so these sounds reminded me some unconscious feelings from my youth. The second reason is the huge capacity of these instruments to convey a melody. And melody, with its non measurable ineffability, is why I do music.
The majority of the team here have all played in Brass Bands, so we felt the same connection with this music that you have, which is why we are so proud of the library!
The cinematography on this is impeccable! Congrats on the library 🙌
All thanks to Marcus Warner!
i’ve been waiting for this.
I admire your finger drumming skills, but the demo is just amazing!!!
If you listen very carefully, you can hear the the players spit at the beginning of various notes at various velocities and low dynamics. Even so, this library is absolutely fantastic regardless.
Awesome! Thanks a lot for such a detailed video! I feel like not many developers get legato right and this one sounds brilliant!
Great video Will. Awesome detail in this script. Love it.
Awesome!
Apps name sir?
Kontakt Player by Native Access, library is Homestead Piano by Fracture Sounds 😇
@@fracturesounds thankyou sir 🙏
Are you guys aware the lower register of this piano from A-1 to G#0 is tuned sharp? You can hear it prominently when playing an octave at D0 + D1. Any chance of fixing that?
I really appreciate you guys explaining how your legato programming is different rather than just telling us “it’s smart”
That was so informative! Thank you so much and this library sounds amazing!
Thank you 🙌
Well presented, thank you!
Sounds gorgeous
Brilliant
