This is Shibasaki, your watercolor instructor. This time I'd like to show you how to draw a cauliflower as an introduction to still life painting. By understanding the points introduced in the video, you'll be able to draw a cauliflower with a lot of presence in a surprisingly easy way! You who want to start watercolor! 塗り始めは「え？そんな色乗せるの？異次元のカリフラワー？」って思うのに完成した時はちゃんとこの世のカリフラワーができてるのすごい。
手数が少ないのに描いてないところまで、想像で見えたような気がしてくる錯覚を感じる絵ですね。
カリフラワーの花などは塊程度しか描いてないのに…花の細かい部分まで見えるような気がしてくる
あと、透明水彩の作家さんの影の色使いは、いつも勉強になります。青や紫などの使い方がすごくいい雰囲気を出してますよね。

Sensei... I'm left speechless. I'm an experienced watercolourist and what you do is clear to me, yet every time it's a mystery to me.
There is a lot of character in what Shibasaki sensei paints. He just KNOWS how to represent something. A great imagination
Love this approach, we have to be patient and build up layers and gradually add darker values to give contrast that makes it look 3D.
The shadows are all in the right places, but he does this so effortlessly and with such subtlety.
Adding the bottle gives it scale and further depth. The dark background enhances the form of the cauliflower. An excellent tutorial, thank you Mr. Shibasaki-san

なんかめっちゃ暗そうって思ってたけど、遠くから見たらめっちゃ綺麗なカリフラワーがくらい画面によく映えて逆に真っ白だった。
