I’ve felt calmer at hear because of Mr. Shibasaki’s art and videos. I feel more mentally thankful and I would really love for him to feel the genuine appreciation. I watched the whole video through and the temple looked amazing between the vibrant plant life he also did on either side. This was amazing, thank you! When he prayed to the many different beings in the beginning, it was incredibly intriguing.

Ever since I was a child I first learned of Jizo he's held a special place in my heart. I had read a folk tale about a hat maker who gave all his hats on new years to a bunch of Jizo statues and they thanked him by giving him and his wife mochi on new years/ It makes me happy to see you pay him a visit
A massive thank you for this demo, Shibasaki - san. Not ony a beautiful choice of subject. but, a lovely insight to prayer and respect. I spent much of my 3 year stint in the East, (China, Borneo, Malaysia), visiting temples, and buildings, and found so much peace. I have, as yet to get to Japan....so..if my heart condition lets me...I will be there. Always...always a great pleasure to watch you paint...Thank you..

This was a really lovely outing. I hope once it's spring and all the flowers are out you'll be able to do another like this! Painting outside is a really wonderful experience.
That statue looked very comfy pops, hope you are too. out of all the buildings to paint temples or such are the best kind there are! i don't know why but the way they look seems very soothing. and even though the place looks quite and isolated few people still stopped by to watch pops paint. It's nice that i was able to see what type of brand pops uses for his brush, now i have a reference for my next purchase. 😁 Anyways it seems pops is looking even better than ever hopefully you're staying healthy and hydrated pops! ☺👌👍❤🌺

スケッチから出来上がりまでが、素人からだと考えられないスピードで…😂今回の絵は日本人なら馴染みのある景色ですが、海外の方々に、きっと喜んでいただけそうな…そんな景色ですね💓

静かなところに古びた建物が建ってるのは私好みです。
自然の木々に浸食されず、建物との調和がとれて、画面を見てるだけでも心が落ち着きます。
大昔の建物は複雑なのが多いですけど、それを早く正確に描いてますね。
ちょうどカメラのピントを山門に合わせているかのようで、絵の主役がどこなのか分かりやすいです。
遠近感の演出だけでなく、こういうふうに描き込むところと省略するところを描き分ける方法があるんですね。
綺麗な三門が、まわりの木々との調和がとれて違和感がないです。
あらためて見ると葉の生い茂り方から落ち葉まで、複雑に埋め尽くされてるところですね。
私がこういうところをまともにスケッチすると、ゴチャゴチャと描いてかえって見栄えが悪くなってしまうでしょう。
先生のスケッチブックは、隅から隅までたくさんのものを描き埋めているのに、まったく五月蝿くないのがすごいです。

今日も勉強になりました！明暗のリズムを付ける、コントラスト、強弱という言葉が心に響きました。音楽と共通していますね！

懐かしい風景です。日本に住んでいる頃はたいして気に留めてもいなかったのに、今頃になって行きたくなってしまいました。スケッチは絵を習い始めた頃には挑戦していましたが、車を止めていると必ず車の故障と間違えられて、あまりのんきにスケッチもできなかったです。覗かれるのも嫌ですね、下手なんで・・・寒い中のスケッチ、風邪ひかないでくださいね。(;´∀｀)

色の濃淡は水の量で表す、ピンクを赤に白を混ぜて作るのは不透明水彩、と教えていただいたので明るい部分に「ガッシュの白」を乗せる勇気がありませんでした。楽しく描くには「表現の決まり」なんかないんですね。インスタとかできないのでここでお便りしました。いつも楽しみにしています。ありがとうございました。
