Brilliant song - haven't heard it for nearly 40 years. She certainly deserved far more success than she had. Lesley passed away in March 2010. R.I.P. Lesley
Thanks for the post. I always loved, "Love Song". Her duo with Sir Elton live is especially haunting. The version done live by Neil Young, Elton, JT, and company for Neil's charity was also well done but in a unique "Neil" style.
Olivia Newton-John covered both Lullaby (9th track) and Love Song (5th track) on her 1971 Album "If Not For You" released by Pye in the UK - track can be found on a youtube search
I also like the NY EJ performance - there are some pretty poor covers out there, but there have also been some great live performances by a host of people. I think it is one of the great classic 'love songs', if not 'the' classic. BTW am enjoying Sophie Barker . . .
Lesley had such a lovely voice and Stevie Nicks nearly copped her vocal style though Leslie has much more talent and could play guitar half decently too .RIP Lesley!
@@robertpegg7251Do you know, i haven't a clue! It's certainly not referring to Lullaby, which I've never heard before. It's a year ago now, i can only think that my comment was referring to an alternative rendition of Love Song that was being discussed here, or the signal dropped and i then posted on the wrong thread.
I am a child again, she stirs something within me, innocence, hope, stability, being happy.
C’est juste au-delà des mots et cette chanson comme beaucoup d’autres de Lesley est juste magnifique et transcendantale......

This doesn't compare well with the original imo.
Who do you mean ? The Original ?
