  • In this video we get anther flight on the Goosky RS7! This model is almost perfect but definitely need something. I’m hoping the new 1:1 swash plate will help with the heavy around mid stick feeling.

    You have that oldschool smooth flying style that you don't really see much these days.
    It is always very enjoyable to watch you fly. Thank you Jeff!

      Thank you! I appreciate that. I really do enjoy the smooth old school 3-D. I like smack but I just feel like the older style flying just looks more appealing.

    Goosky knocked it out of the park with this one. Not only is it easy on the eyes, it also seems like it flies as good as it looks.

      They definitely did a really good job. There’s a few things I personally believe they could’ve improved on to make it perfect but for there first 700 I’m happy with it.

    I want to learn to fly a heli. A whole new vibe from flying quads and wings. And I love the sound!

      You really should! Helis are awesome! Best part of the hobby in my opinion. Get a sim and start practicing, it will pretty simple for you to pick it up. I highly recommend the Goosky S2 as your first heli and you can get them RTF.

      Give it a shot! I’m going to order one tonight and that way I can see for myself if it flies better around mid stick.

    I think the heli is a great package, granted it seems like the OMP M7 is a bit better.

    Could you make a video on autorotations? Doesn’t even have to be a detailed explanation, but with a few in there and some commentary. Bonus if it’s with a 400 or raw 420 due to those being cheaper for newer pilots looking to learn.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I can definitely do that. So smaller helis don’t like to Auto. A 400 class heli will not really auto it will just kinda fail. You can do it but it’s a lot harder. 600 and bigger is the best for it.

    I want to like this Goosky RS7. To me, it really seems labored under load, and as you said it's flying like it's heavy. After watching so many of your vids, I LOVE your flying style, and I can tell when you REALLY hook up with a good heli, so I know it's NOT you. Have you changed out the ESC? I think I heard you mention you were going to change out the Castle Creations in favor of something else. Maybe that 1:1 swash top will help dial it in better. I know it's just a simple matter of time before you will be flying an OMP M7, and I can't WAIT to see that! They're supposed to have several combos coming out. So far I see they've finally released it, and it comes in 2 combos. One with blades only, and the other with a Motor, but not sure on the ESC, and servos. There are supposed to be a few more combos with one including a Mikado FBL.

      Thank you! I greatly appreciate it. I really enjoy this style of flying that old school 3-D has always been one that I like. I do plan on buying an M7 sooner or later. There’s a lot of design ideas and features that I do really like. The combo deals are awesome as well! I think it will be a big seller. The RS7 is almost there but it just does not have the “ connected feel” I’m hoping the new swash plate solves that

    Awsome video as always Jeff! Any chance you will get an OMP M7 to compare against the RS7? I know you don't have the highest opinion of OMP after that M4 build you did, and all the problems that resulted with it. However, I for one would be interested in seeing a review and comparison of the two helis like you have done in the past with other helis. I would also be interested to see what your thoughts are of RotorFlight if you have a chance to get around to that.

      Thank you! I appreciate that! I’m very curious about the M7. I do plan on buying one soon-ish. It looks really good and I like a lot of the design ideas and features. I plan on buying one of those rotor flight FBL‘s as well.

    Question do you think you will do a review on the Radiomaster Nexus anytime soon?
    I’m contemplating running them in a couple of mine but would appreciate a honest review from someone I can trust.
    Many thanks in advance

    Nice flight, how is the head speed controlled. I am guessing that the throttle stick only controls collective and not the motor/head speed.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you! I hope you enjoyed the video. RPM is controlled by the governor. It’s a set number the throttle stick, just controls, collective, positive and negative.

    Lots of competition in the 700 class. I saw Bert is building an M7 and BK Hobbies will be selling the M7. That's a pretty strong endorsement for me. Jonas and others have been working with RotorFlight on the M7 as well. RadioMaster just released a RotorFlight based flight controller. The RS7 seems pretty boring in comparison.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Is there is! A lot of great options on the market. The M7 looks good, I’m curious to see and fly one in person. I’m not sure on the Rotorflight but I’ll probably buy one to play with. Could be great.

    Hello Jeff hope you are doing well. Sry but i need your opinion on my raw 420 build. I fly my m1 and m2 with dsmx on a radiomaster boxer. Do you think its worth to spend over 1200Dollar for Micado Vbar Control Evo for the Raw 420? Or should i wait until i got a Raw 580? What would you do? 😀
    Awesome flight with the RS7. Seems like a cool Heli!
    Thanks man greetings

      @westhobbiesrc8051  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thank you very much for all the support!! So personally I really like the Vcontrol system. It’s so easy and flys incredibly! You can get a Vsat to use your Vcontrol on your M1 and M2 or just get a Vcontrol for your 420 and then you have it for your 580. But if you’re happy with your TX now then stick with it. But I highly recommend Vcontrol!
