Amazing that she was 71 in this interview. Very youthful and energetic.

***** Many apologies. Right after I read about Stan, I thought of June and wondered... So I looked her up in Wikipedia. And I swear by the Ghost of Stan that it said she had died on April 4th. It was soon retracted leaving me with many eggs on my face. Sorry if i caused anyone any undue anxiety.

Great to see this and a get glimpse of the underlying softness of such sharp characters that Stan Freberg and June Foray were.

Thanks so much for sharing this. I've been a fan of Freberg since I found his albums in my mom's collection back in the 60s. Still some of the most brilliant comedy I've ever heard recorded. Love June, too.

@@brianhrvey The first album is one of those I got from my mom's collection, and I bought the sequel as soon as it came out.

June Foray and Stan Freberg are both wonderful!
The song-and-dance man in the middle of this clip is Barry Bostwick for all of you "Spin City" fans. "Movie Movie" was a very funny send-up of old movies. The "Dynamite Hands" featured Harry Hamlin. I don't think it did too well at the time.

I love that parody of "The Banana Boat Song," especially since it aggravated Harry Belafante. His parody of Johnnie Ray's histrionic singing made me literally roll around on the floor, convulsed in laughter, when I first heard it. Freberg was, indeed, ahead of his time.

Wow, Art Carney and Red Buttons...and Eli Wallach, in a war picture. I didn't expect that.

I've been going through archives of Mrs. Foray, and I am continually astonished at the ridiculous genes. Call it Darwinist, but I think it correlates with her professional success.
I still can't find young videos or even photos of Mrs. Foray. I'd love to hear her original voice.

Man, I though "John, Marsha" was funny just listening to it on disc., but to see Stan do a little of it I nearly wet myself.
Stan was so ahead of his time also. Listen to "Elderly Man River" which is very like the political correctness we have today.
