Here is an interview with the lovely and talented June Foray. In this interview, Ms. Foray talks about working with Jay Ward on the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon show.
Such a lovely, intelligent woman. All the lights are on and everybody's home. It figures she made it all the way to 99. People who laugh a lot (which she obviously did), or help others to laugh, are DESTINED to live a long time.
Thanks for posting this interview!! I highly doubt we'll ever see this kind of talent, writing, and producing again. Cable & un-reality TV has diluted the gene pool, sadly enough. Fractured Fairytales and Esops Fables were great, as were Rocky & Bullwinkle, of course.

Just like Tara Strong, Rachel Butera also makes a perfectly good replacement for June foray, right after her funeral back in 2017. June was so close to being 100 years old, we will miss you june. your legacy will live on.
At 1:20 June Foray expresses doubts about Rocky and Bullwinkle being the only anthropomorhic animals that talked to people. So I'm wondering, did Yogi Bear ever speak to the Ranger? Those cartoons came before. Also I just saw (here at YT) a cop at a callbox look down and speak to Huckleberry Hound.
I think what she's referring to is that R&B were in development at the same time as Huckleberry hound in 1958 so anthropomorphic animals talking to humans hadn't been seen as of the time they recorded the voices.

Amazing to hear all of the voices within her 'own' voice during this interview.
Bullwinkle and Rocky as a moose and squirrel was an awesomely clever concept for a cartoon....I mean who would have thought of that!
