Just a possible correction regarding false color. Pink does NOT always equal skin tone. The pink range for skin tone is generally for lighter, Caucasian skin tones. However darker skin tones are better suited being between the pink and green (or even well into the green for very dark skin) to be properly exposed in the same environment. So don't just go with the default of pink being the goal for skin tone because skin tones vary rather widely. At least in regard to how false color displays reads them.

TH-cam randomly suggested this and have to say I love your style. Caught me off guard that there was no bombastic title intro but much appreciated haha. Plus both these videos have some fantastic pointers. Cheers and look forward to seeing where your channel goes!

For false colour I’ve found keeping your skin tones at pink (approximately 65 IRE) isn’t true across various skin tones. I’ve found it to be very overexposed for the darker skin tone so stoping a little under works well for that

Why does a white dot appear as if it were from the sensor when I use it in 6k 2.4, it cannot be seen on the monitor or finder but it appears in the development... what could it be? in the rest of the functions it does not appear

very informative! this camera is my first foray into "pro" cameras, and zebra and false color are new to me. i now feel like i can play with them and learn better what i am doing, thank you. as for the rain cover i have been wondering about this. i will order one as soon as i can find one that is not sold by Amazon...but i now know i need to prioritize this item. as for the app, i have been thinking i need a tablet for this and some other apps that are rig specific. my phone will not load many apps, and i like it that way...I look forward to your next video, and will probably watch some more of your old ones.

Using a rain cover completely blocks the air inflow and won't it overheat the camera due to the limited air circulation?

Great video! Every single tip was GOLD!
I was wondering if you've run into an issue with your 6k pro(s) where higher ISO leaves really harsh vertical line's in your footage? I ended up having to return mine due to another issue with powering up the camera but the replacement is scheduled to arrive tonight. I'm curious if I'm just super new or if this is in fact due to a bad unit.
I have the original BRAW footage with the vertical lines if you want to see.

Hey Joshua! Thank you for your kind words.
Yes I know what you are talking about. The footage I shot for this video actually had exactly those lines over the shadows of the footage. As you can see now, they’re unnoticeable now it’s been graded.
In my experience, when you grade the image, they often disappear- but that is depending on if they are in the shadows or the whole image. It helps to stick to the native ISOs and under, and not push them higher than necessary. 200-400 ISO or 1250-3200 ISO is the only ones I generally use.
Exposing to the right avoids this issue as well.
Happy to take a look at the BRAW if you can link it to me here or on Instagram.
If you want to find out more on Google, the technical term for it is fixed pattern noise.

I’ve got a d-tap to usb converter- so it runs off the v mount battery. It sends 16V to the motor so I would definitley recommend
