Those who live near Lake Superior need never travel to see the ocean; they have an inland sea right at their back door! Beautiful footage! Thanks for sharing.
Hello from Sault Ste Marie. I show these to people here and people can't believe the lake gets that rough. It's our favourite time to go sit on the beach no matter what the weather is doing
You really should tour them. I’d recommend Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. You simply will not regret doing whatever it takes to tour the Upper Peninsula. ❤
What do you call being absolutely terrified, but also absolutely fascinated with something? Being from Michigan I've been to all the lakes, but I never lose the fascination I have with storms and big waves, especially on Superior. You think they'd let me hop on a freighter in November just to experience it once? Maybe im crazy 😅
This is what the little lake looks like when cranky. I wish someone could get video of all five of them together in one video. th-cam.com/video/U6x3aErO6Y0/w-d-xo.html
It's amazing that a lake can produce such mighty waves. Very impressive. Heinz, 64, from Germany
It blew me away the first time I saw it
She holds the power like no other. She never let you forget who's in charge.
The raw power of nature. So beautiful!
Thank you so much for putting these videos together! Awesome footage!
I'm still waiting for the storm that got me hooked in the first place

@@janetryan9779 I’d still like to see the ocean. When the lake is like this it’s usually not pleasant to sit there.
Powerful video, great natural sound. 100 years of that creates some nice beach cobblestones...
I've been in the middle of lake superior in a big storm. I was on an oil tanker and the waves were a beautiful thing to see.
Everytime we get a storm like this I think about the ships
Beautiful! Lake Superior is on my bucket list for sure ! I call her “ The moody big sister of the Great Lakes lol 😂
It's so much better in the fall
Yep, it’s usually the big sister in the family that’s the moody one. Lake Superior is no exception.

Would love to see this in person! ❤️
I'm always looking forward to the next time
Seth McFarlane said it best, "God damn, nature! You scary!"
Hi ,kiaora from New Zealand. Were it not for these videos one would think it were the pacific ocean

My profile is standing on the ice in the Munising bay! Absolutely love Lake Superior.
This is Ontario north of Sault Ste marie
I’ve never been to the Great Lakes. I know Superior is a large body of water but I never dreamed the waves would be this big! Amazing!
It's mostly fall when this happens.

That's the way Superior rolls...ice & all!!
Imagine getting hit by those ice chunks. I stayed far away that day
Just a normal day really no big deal
thank you for not putting music to your wonderful video. this is great!
Thank you for saying that because hate that too. The sound is the music
That's a lake??!!
Yup that was nowhere near the biggest storm we've seen there either
