Listening to Brenton and watching vid is an awesome way to feel out of the crazy world and get nice n chilled out to fall asleep not that it’s at all boring. Just so nice.
I’m happy just watching you and Wavey adventures no matter the order or where you’re at it’s all about the relaxation and simplicity of the life you live so I’m happy do that vodoo that you do and keep it coming. God bless my friend.
Any footage from anywhere you and Wavy are or have been just makes me want to get my boat going and have my own adventures! Sitting on that beach late in the day when the sun is setting is a dream! I dont want to trailer mine i want to travel the waterways but i am concerned about traveling the Great Lakes on a barrel boat which is what i will have! You inspire me! Keep up the good work!
Hi, Brenton. I boat on Georgian Bay, Lake Huron, out of Parry Sound and totally get why you hauled the Shanty boat back north to spend the summer. I like the idea of using this channel for the Superior interlude videos and do them close to real time and look forward to seeing your adventures this summer. Thanks for all the effort you put into making these.
I vote yes, follow your latest plan. I like the laid back adventure theme you present. Frankly, the action and exploring you exhibit, along with your thought out comments from time to time are refreshing and entertaining for me. I live in Orlando, so have been to practically all the towns you visited from Pensacola to the east coast, as well as the Okeechobee, yet enjoyed your style as well. It is OK with me that you are following the same styles in the north now, and since I have not been to any of those places, I will enjoy them as well by following you and Gravy.
Always enjoy seeing the adventures in Superiorland. I do think it makes sense to keep the real time videos here to maintain the continuity of the loop coverage. Keep them coming!
I just love your channels. I appreciate that you share your faith too! I’m very much like you in that I’m a man of faith that loves God’s creation and animals! May God bless you and wavy on your adventures.
It is perfectly fine to drop in this Lake Superior video. Was wondering where you really were in real time. So this video is much appreciated. Keep up the good work.
I love Superior. Sorry I didn't watch this before my previous comment. Apologies for my confusion. Happy to watch this type of content. I spent a wonderful week van camping in Copper Harbor in 1997. Great memories. Will catch you on the Erie Canal whenever you return to finish the "loop".
(Just Me) I'm EXCITED to see the Great lakes (Superior) The loop up the east coast is too many people and towns. You're in areas which are unchanged for 1,000's of years. Keep um coming.
Yep, but going up the East Coast especially from New York City to the Great Lakes hundreds of year old cities are there to explore. New York City, Kingston, Catskill, Albany, half moon. You could spend six months just on the Hudson. if you want to take a slight detour up the Champlain Canal could visit Fort Ticonderoga, fort Edward, and a few other revolutionary war forts
Glad you made it back to God's country. It's called Lake Superior for a reason.😉 The lake was down a foot from last year a month ago. Good for the survival of my cabin. It's down 7 inches from this time last year. The high water washes out shoreline trees and heavy rain washes trees, branches, etc into the lake that become driftwood. We, western Lake Superior, just had a heavy rain that washed out roads and I'm sure put a lot future driftwood into the lake. Don't know if that extended to the UP. In the 1960's there was open dumping into the lake. We would find wax paper milk cartons, all kinds of wave polished glass fragments, and believe it or not, light bulbs. Except for the fog, late June is the best time on Lake Superior.
Hi Brenton, ah nice, Superior land again. I like your plan just fine. That makes sense. Continuing with the Loop on the other channel sounds perfect. And in the meantime we get to see what you're up to now. So nice and private on the beach there. Beautiful too.😊👍🎶🐾🌊🌎
Looks like your decision to get off the east coast and get back North was very wise. Since we are experiencing a brutal Heatwave in New England right now. As far as your videos, I like the plan that you mentioned, that makes the most sense. Looks beautiful where you are right now and I love those temperatures
About the fourteen mile point lighthouse, it was recently purchased and while it’s still in disrepair, the new owners have plans for the property and buildings, while it’s been visited by many, it has long been private property, thx for another nice low key adventure video
This is the first time viewing your channel. I like it. I’ve lived in Michigan 60 years and have been everywhere. Your experience on that boat is awesome but concerning. I imagine that you have to be willing to change plans very quickly.
@TheMonkdad we just went from Ontonagon to the Houghton canal today. Stayed in a wind shadow. South wind. It can take more than you'd think. Thanks for finding us.
Think I can find my big boy pants and follow a great loop and superior soirées side by side without wading up my britches lol. Enjoy some of your pontifications as well sir. Full steam ahead captain 👍
Definitely would like to see more videos like this. This video gave off some amazing UP vibes and a great feeling of freedom. Have you ever heard wolves howling during your camping out ?
Oh my goodness Brenton, this was wonderful! Yes, more please! This episode was very soothing. The scenery, the music, the pace of your exploring was just perfect! Thank you so much for your hard work to make these videos to share with us! Oh and I was glad you had something on this channel since I’m all caught up on your great loop series.
Well it sounds like there has been a motion made and seconded. And all are in favor what ever you put on either channel we will watch. Thanks for sharing.
Man, the foc'sl looks like the deck of an aircraft carrier without that scooter taking up half of it 😂 Love that you're back on the Great Lakes for summer. I always wanted to explore up that way but unfortunately the only time I got there as an adult was for my uncle 's funeral in Gladstone, MI. The harbor there gets gorgeous sunsets.
Talk about your Time Out of Mind! It is quite a jump to go from central Florida to the U.P. I thought you were only about a week or two behind. I can handle the jumping around, but please keep this here and not on the Great Loop channel. I was about to suggest what to look for in the Golden Isles of Georgia! CONGRATULATIONS on your trip!
I definitely enjoyed this video too. Cool seeing and learning about this area. I am curious about Shanty boats now too, An wounder how they might do in the Puget Sound close to where I live.
Great to see you so close to home! Michigander here! I love the U.P. gods country! Finally cought up on all your back videos!!! I stayed in a cabin bye the cut threw when i was a boilermaker
Keep them coming along with the weather reports it is neat to know the difference in weather from one part of the country to another even if it does possibly cause a touch of jealousy you're at 68 we are closer to 98 in Mississippi some days mid 80s today so not to bad for here. Great video keep on keeping on.
I like the idea of not breaking up the Great Loop series. Having the backup channel works great for doing exactly this. Brenton it would be interesting to know how the transition from being on the boat all the time to being back on land and sleeping on something that’s not rocking all the time.
Back up north! I watch where ever you are and you should not worry about viewers to much. Can't make everybody happy so you know the deal.... We boat in the Apostle Islands. I'd like to see Wavy and you someday. I believe I found your channel initially when you were out by Schooner bay in a small CDory maybe??? Next thing you know we are doing the loop with you. Awesome. We do enjoy your travels. Take care and enjoy.
Cptn B Hermitage! Welcome back to the North! We should get the sailboat up there and explore with you while you are up. What's the plan for the week of the 4th? Do they have good fireworks up there? We are in desperate need of a real adventure.
Howdy! We were thinking of going all the way up the Keweenaw over the 4th, at least to the Houghton cut through. Maybe all the way to Copper Harbor. The Apostles are fun on the 4th, but busy.
What a great video! Started watching your great loop adventure and became a fan of your channel. Had to watch all your vids starting with the barge construction and others from there. I really appreciate your travel/adventure documentary style. The content, editing, adders, commentary are all fun. Informative and entertaining to watch…. Bravo, great work! It takes time to produce quality videos and you, do that beautifully. 👏👏👏 Keep doing what you and Wavey do! God bless you both. Stay safe out there.
I want to be up there it is terribly hot on Kentucky Lake in Tennessee I was born in the wrong place and I like cold weather oh well I hope you enjoy have a good day keep doing the superior videos
Great video bud thanks for sharing...hope to be up there in a week or so! Looks beautiful at 10 mile! Heard Lakeshore Dr is washed out in 2 places this week due to flooding! Safe sailing bud!
I used to live in Bayfield Wisconsin, wondering if you’ll be in that area! My parents had a sailboat there as well. A beautiful lake ! One of the BEST!
@@brentonsriversidehermitage I live on Kauai, my new favorite island. But as a youngster, my mom stepdad and brother all sailed to a number of the Apostle Islands. I enjoy watching your and Wavy's Great Loop trip. You passed right near us when you exited southern end of Mobil Bay, We are on the north end of Plash Island where the ICW canal begins in Gulf Shores west of LuLu's. I realized too late there is a delay in real time and when you post each video. Next time you do the Great Loop, look us up. We will have a low country boil and tell stories. The Great Loop is calling me...
Another very nice video. Good to see you got back home ok too. Am still enjoying your loop videos on your main channel. Where I live in Ireland is about 5 degrees north of you. These days it is really quite bright at 11pm. We are quite far west from Greenwich Meantime location, so that adds to the end of the day also. Birds are starting to sing again at 4:30am and the sun is up by 5:20. I used to take a flight across from Glasgow in Scotland to Belfast in Northern Ireland during the summer months. It is another few degrees north, so on late flights (after midnight) I could see the bright sky from the arctic midnight sun off to the north.
Actually I got confused earlier when you mentioned a date as I was under the impression that you edited madly each night of your t rip and uploaded. I'm a newbie so keep that in mind. Great video, being able to scout those river cuts is great! Keep posting how you feel best, you can't make everyone happy but I think in fact, you are bringing many pleasure who cannot get out themselves! I was going to accuse you of bring the heat north! Lol! But, 60^ is not too bad. We finally got out, a new front wheel drive Chrysler van presents some challenges at the ramp! I made a set of traction plates from meshed steel, works great and I hook buckets of water to the front, four of them and I can get the houseboat out of a hole on a sandy ramp!!! I got a great deal and low mileage and my ASTRO AWD was 20 yrs old! Although I look like a geek, I'm making it work! Lol! Enjoy your summer, Brenton! AllthebestRoy
Hi Roy, yesterday it was 93 here! But it only latest one day. It started dumping buckets last night and Ota back to the 60s. I love that you make do with what you have like no other. That's freedom. I found a young girls channel here on YT that's building one of your designs...have you seem it by chance?
@brentonsriversidehermitage Emma, she is a blast! She made an empty garage into a dramatic video and the build videos are edited but no filtering mistakes and the like! Determined young woman! We chat from time to time as I try to offer advice for all my builders. Over 30 boats built to date! You also know how to make silk purse from a sow's ear! I was looking at an off grid place on the North Channel, on the water and not a bad deal. You'd like it. Lots of coves and bays to explore. We've boated up there many times. Isolation during winter is the down side, unless you go south! I enjoy your lifestyle and am blessed to be able to do some of it, too. Take care!
Magical Logistical Tour, curious of your route back North hauling the shanty boat. If you ran I40 thru the gap towards Knoxville I'd bet that was an adventure all on its own.
Used to haul old trucks out of Greenville SC up to WI as a side hustle, that stretch of highway was never dull. Broke down only once, around Sevierville, TN while looking in the mirror a cloud was following my trailer, turned out to be a wasted wheel bearing. Motor on Brother!
honestly I would prefer to see you follow the great loop to it's conclusion on the other channel as that's why I subscribed there, as for this channel I watch a few more to see if it will hold my attention, but I think you'll hurt yourself putting this content over there before you finish the loop Just my opinion still happy to see Wavey
I'm finishing the loop footage on Back Waters in order. I'll put current early summer footage here, theh switch back to current time when the loop footage is done. Does that make sense?

Take care!
@@roydesignedthat Emma is my dream girl ;) I watch all her build videos. I'd move off grid and tow the Shanty south in the winter Roy ;)
Magical Logistical Tour, curious of your route back North hauling the shanty boat. If you ran I40 thru the gap towards Knoxville I'd bet that was an adventure all on its own.
That grade up around Ashville almost did my poor tired truck in :(
Used to haul old trucks out of Greenville SC up to WI as a side hustle, that stretch of highway was never dull. Broke down only once, around Sevierville, TN while looking in the mirror a cloud was following my trailer, turned out to be a wasted wheel bearing. Motor on Brother!
Black mountain coming west bound 40 towards Ashville is a killer hill. @@brentonsriversidehermitage
honestly I would prefer to see you follow the great loop to it's conclusion on the other channel as that's why I subscribed there, as for this channel I watch a few more to see if it will hold my attention, but I think you'll hurt yourself putting this content over there before you finish the loop Just my opinion still happy to see Wavey
I'm finishing the loop footage on Back Waters in order. I'll put current early summer footage here, theh switch back to current time when the loop footage is done. Does that make sense?
