Spoiler . . . . . 50-50 Racing Incident for me. Ben should have left more room as he turns in too early, as if it's his corner and could have taken a wider line. He had momentum. Alex was too far back and should have backed out at the point of contact.
It’s easy to blame someone for that incident with Alex but when you actually look at the replay there was hardly any contact. Looks more like a netcode problem to me, but if you’ve ever raced on this track you’d know that 2 wide into turn 1 at full racing speed just isn’t a good idea lol.
on top of that, soft vs medium. alex just had to be the smart one and realise ben already had the position. just use ben to gain advantage on those mediums instead of trying to get some ego going. desperation to stay in front got the better of him and thats fine.
@@xAshreal yeah he should have just let the pass happen and tuck into the slipstream to save battery, but it looks like he really wanted to stay ahead which is understandable I’m sure we’ve all been there before. It would have been an easy win tho cause the softs fall off quickly around here, so I don’t understand why they were trying to go wheel to wheel being on different strategies. It was just a racing incident in the end about 50/50 fault Alex could have backed out and been more smart about it, and Ben could have left a bit more space.
probably more a racing incident than anything. Alex didnt have any more space to do anything whereas Ben perhaps could have turned in a little less but its also not as though he turned in completely. Plus like Ben said, the smart thing for Alex would have been to let Ben go and stick in his DRS and wait for that tyre advantage to swing back his way later.
I mean it kinda is, he knew that for an incident that wasn't his fault, he was gonna get a bunch of flack from Ben's fans, and I can't imagine that's nice to have
@@emraldpearLive wasn’t his fault? He was the one swerving around knowing he has a tire disadvantage still trying to stick it on the inside when the move was practically done. It’s not the first time he went flying into a corner either so it’s no surprise he got taken out, it was bound to happen when you drive like that. Also if you actually look at the replay there was barely any contact it was more like network issues, not to mention Alex has like another foot of space on the inside curb so he could have taken a tighter line.
@@emraldpearLive That is fair and I didn't think about the flack he would receive. I just see it as ultimately it is a game. It is just a group of creators racing at the end of the day
I think the crash was fairly innocuous, but more the fault of Ben. I’m a Ben fan, but quite simply you have to give room on the inside if you overtake on the outside, and he didn’t. Yes Alex could and arguably should have backed out, but he was under no obligation to do so. Always assume he’s still there until you know he isn’t.
you can clearly see alex has got enough space on the inside, yes ben turned in a little bit early considering he has alex on his inside but looking from the onboard of ben there is almost no contact, both were at fault, ben had the obvious overspeed and the overtake was nearly done but turned in slightly too early, alex shouldve backed out from a car on faster tyres with huge overspeed on the straight(ers, drs)
@samurai_king_yt8058 How did Alex turn in to Ben? Do you understand F1? Alex turned right. Ben was on his left. You can only turn in to someone if they are on your inside
@ItzMav What makes you say Alex had enough space on the inside? For me he was right up next to the white line on the right side, so the fact that Ben hits him means for me he didn’t have a car’s width, meaning there wasn’t enough space. Also I fully get your point that he should’ve backed out as it wasn’t worth fighting, but that has no real relevance in the conversation of fault, as by the rules he’s under no obligation to back out.
@@Nando_Lorris_04 looking from outside the car you can see alex have space on the inside, it looked more like a network incident than a real incident since ben didn't even feel Alex. if you watched the real life japan you know that when a car overtakes you on that spot on track they all back out on the inside bc it just doesnt work everyone who drives japan on the game knows this as well since its a corner that gets tighter
Alex just refuses to not put his nose in every opportunity he gets. He'll slow down other cars in breaking zones by wheel banging in slow corners. He's such an arrogant driver and refuses to concede any position in any race.
I dont get why Gillon didnt just use the curbs , with that he had more then a cars width .. or like Ben said just let Ben have that corner get him back on one of the countless other corners ...
The cars width has to be inside the white lines. The curb is beyond the white line. He didn’t have a cars width on the inside. Whatever you think of the incident, saying he had a car’s width is factually false
That first lap in sprint race.. Well, first few corners.. It was a joke. Half of them could have avoid collision easily, but of course, all of them lost all of their front wing.
Just a racing incident that’s exaggerated because of the speed, position, time of race, and drivers. At the end of the day, it’s fictional racing and is never that serious
I like Ben as a TH-camr but have been following Alex for the last couple of months because of their rivalry. Alex is probably a better racer but Ben is definitely a better TH-camr. Further, Alex is too competitive and whenever he bumps someone it’s always a racing incident but whenever he loses position it’s always the other person’s mistake. Don’t care, Ben is my favourite content creator of F1 and felt so happy he is driving so good
Overall the move is Ben’s fault as if Gillon wants to hang a wheel inside and ruin his exit that is his right, however the logical move for Gillon was to back out way before the corner there knowing that even if he was left room there was no chance he goes into turn 2 ahead. One of those where even though Gillon can feel upset over the contact he needs to not put himself in that kind of position with time left in the race.
I think ben could have left more space, yes you dont want to give the attacking car the opptimal line but that could have ended badly just as much for ben as it did alex
I do think it was a racing incident, but if we have to point fingers I'm gonna Ben. Alex needed space and didn't get it, even though he wasn't deserving of space by the rules. It wouldv'e been nice to give Alex the space.
To me the incident is 50/50. Ben should have given a little more room but I don't think he "closed the door" or anything like that. Alex should have been more patient but he also had a right to the inside line. I'd say he does have an aggression problem and if anything, that's the biggest reason for the incident, but I'd genuinely still call it 50/50.
I think the crash wasn't really your guys' fault, in the replay you can see there is hardly any contact so it was probably the game that caused it. I voted Silverstone for you Ben! Even tho i want Spa
The other driver ( Wont Say His Name) is in the wrong. Ben was very much ahead and its on the other driver to back out. Space was given but the other driver is so arrogant and quite frankly comes across as the biggest crybaby in the the whole of creator series
The door wasn't shut, there was more than a car's width up the inside, it's on Gillon to make safe use of the space. You can see clear at 30:28 that there's space and Alex just went a bit wide trying to unwisely hang it on the inside
You tend to ignore the red markers. Still pulling the car onto the racing line even if the red arrow is there. Happened in the sprint, happened at the race. Tbh I wouldn't wanna race you either. You are a great youtuber, I gotta give you that, but your idea of racing is quite poor
The lap we had the incident I burned my battery to get fastest lap, didn’t get it so the battery was wasted for no reason and Skyzii was quicker than me anyway so it was GG’s
I dunno, I watched the responses from Thomb, GB, Rasin, Saffzo and some others every single one of them agreed that you are at fault for the contact. Should alex of given up the place - Yes Does he have to give it up - NO Do YOU have to give space - YES That's the thing in this incident for me, alex has literally done nothing wrong than what should be done other than not conceding position, but you physically just pushed him off which is a huge NO NO. Like alex said on stream, he isn't going to race you anymore. Personally if it was me, i'd just let you past, what's the point of racing you if you don't race anyone at all and just pretend they don't exist. If thats the way you enjoy racing then okay, but the fact that most people on the grid can go wheel to wheel and not make contact, but you are in basically every single one of these incidents feels its an issue with your driving rather than anyone else. Think you need to reassess your standards before you alienate every single driver on the grid until eventually no one wants to race you because you just don't race fairly.
