    Welcome back from nights….flip flopping shifts is always hard to adjust. Shimming the doors seems like a dark art to me….Being Im short I use a stack of wood under my feet to shim my knees to make me taller to hold the door up. Love videos….

      That is funny David! Honestly, I could have used a board or two but that didn't even cross my mind.

    poor door fitment is a huge pet peeve. so many broncos do not have their doors aligned in some direction. Feel free to make this a multi-part min-series! thanks for the tips. I'll be emailing with my issues to learn more from you, in about a year! your bronco is looking amazing. I am hoping you're going to get more chances to work, so we can seat buttoned up!

      Yes sir. I like consistent body gaps. It is hard to achieve but worth the extra work. Contact us anytime. Thanks

    Looking GREAT Jason. It's funny that you mentioned marking the door hinges. I did the same thing to mine but used a dremel to mark TD, BD (top driver, bottom driver) TP, BP (top passenger, bottom passenger) to make sure I got the hinges correct.

      Thanks Jim! Yes there are lots of ways to do it. Your way is easier to determine what is what for sure.

    Something worth looking into on your stainless bolts. Where I work we use stainless on aluminum and it has some kind of reaction. It sticks harder than if you used nothing at all. I’ve heard to use brass Anti Seize on stainless.

      @@JasonJonieBuilds I know you would just teasing....I just finished epoxy priming mine yesterday. Still have the doors and tailgate to do. Planning on building an indoor paint booth similar to yours for final coat. Until then keep up the good work!

    Thank you for the tips on the doors . You’re Bronco looks awesome!! Was the hood hard to align?

    • @JasonJonieBuilds
      @JasonJonieBuilds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Anytime! The hood was no problem because it had been on several times during the fab process. Thanks for watching.

    Do the striker plates have a plate behind that holds the nuts in place like the hinges do?

    It the beginning, when you're just starting to do any bodywork, always tape a new door weatherstrip on before adding any bodyfiller. I see guy's make this mistake all the time. Painting is all done and the shut the doors and they stick out to far after they put the weatherstrips on.

    • @JasonJonieBuilds
      @JasonJonieBuilds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes sir. I am guilty of that and have had that problem in the past. Good advice.

    I had to put more shims than I wanted to in one of my doors . I guess its not sitting on the farm right?

    • @JasonJonieBuilds
      @JasonJonieBuilds  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes adding a shim under the body mount near the door will help.
