Hello Sir, loved all your videos, Sir if we have an PCL Avulsion fracture and concern doctor has given 50-50 chance of healing without surgery, how we can check wheaer it getting healed or not, like after 4 weeks of time, do we have any symptoms which will help to understand wheather its healing or not
It's the amount of translation of tibia and sagging which will decide it has healed or not. Also posterior drawer test and reverse lachman test can decide
@@drsachinjainortho Hi Sir, there is little amount of sag not much but yes there is little sag in the knee, its almost 5 weeks now, is there any specific exercise or something we can do so. that this small amount of sag will be removed
If it's grade 1 sag that is a little sag then it's acceptable all you need to do is strengthen your quadriceps and make it very bulky to avoid stress on your patella. Physio exercises you can learn from local physio

How much avulsion in mm for grade 2🙏
Meyers-McKeever classification have been proposed for the avulsion fractures and is divided into three types: there is no displacement of fracture fragments in type I; a slightly displaced posterior margin with an intact anterior cortex acting as a hinge in type II; and a completely displaced void of all bony contacts in type III. If the avulsed fragment is not displaced, non-operative treatment may be suggested, while surgical reduction and fixation should be considered in the case of type II and III fractures.
But mostly grade 2 should be less than 5 mm
More than 5 mm will be grade 3

Hello sir
I had an accident last year
below mentioned fractures occurred to me
open fracture tibia and fibula right with closed fracture lateral condyle femur right with closed fracture ,medial malleous right with ACl/PCl Avulsion right knee
sir it neraly more than 15 months
still i am not able to rotate my knee fully
knees rotation is near abt 90-95 degree
bones are healed
i want to know abt the knee ,
how much time will it take to completely healed
do i need to have ACL/PCL reconstruction operation
or without any reconstruction it can heal
please enlighten me 🙏

@@drsachinjainortho thank you 🙏 sir for sparing your precious time from your busy schedule. I was operated on 13-05-2023 for PCL avulsion fracture. I have been wearing this plaster since then. Treating doctor has advised me to wear this plaster for one more month. I am fed up having this plaster on my leg. Moreover even a slight shaking of my leg make me think of its repercussions. I know it would be ethically wrong to tender any kind of medical advice specific to a patient condition on TH-cam comment but can you tell me that ‘GENERALLY’ how long one has to wear plaster post PCL avulsion fracture surgery ????
@@raviranjankumar838 can't reply to your problem as i don't know what your problem and what was done but my patients after PCL avulsion fixation wear knee brace for 3 to 4 weeks
