Actually Michelle was the one to turn Ganryu down and as she was the first love interest of Ganryu and then Julia... Very creepy now that I think of it-

Thing is Michelle obviously had a kid with a man she loved but now isnt interested in men who can offer her things. She probably wants a man that can stick for himself and has his own security and interests.

What I loved about the old Tekken world, in games like Tekken 3, Tag 1 and Tekken 4, is that there are characters who are a lot more colorful and a lot less one dimensional in terms of their personality and story/drive, like you see with Paul, one of the better examples of it, showing how even though he has a very funny, comedic streak to him, he can still be serious and kick some ass and he actually had a clear motivation to win the tournament by that point in the story and even the score with his old rival, instead of just shouting he's gonna be the strongest in the universe, but not really backing it up with actions as well as being a coward in cutscenes, even though he's one of the strongest characters in the lore, but it's not just him though, characters like Eddy, Jin and Bryan also had more layers to them, that made them more likeable and less one dimensional.
Man, the face Paul puts when Kazuya escapes is just sad, he looks so dissapointed. Oh, that reminds me that Kazuya doesn't grin no more in his victory poses in T7, another example of how many Tekken characters have devolved over the years in terms of personality and charm

Paul was basically what hworang is to Jin.
That was actually Michelle that Ganryu was proposing to. He didn't develop an infatuation with Julia till Tekken 5. Besides being an obsessive creep, Michelle dislikes Ganryu because he was involved in the kidnapping of her family or something like that.
Oh, YEAH, he worked for Kazuya back in Tekken 2. Completely forgot.
Kazuya had Ganryu kidnap her mother in order to insure that Michelle would participate in the tournament so he could get her pendant.

And then Heihachi used it to awaken Ogre, the god of fighting, which lead to the death of Jun Kazama and the OG Mexicano priest, King.

It compliments King's ending really well, I think. Like you feel like you've achieved some kind of great victory. Bruce's ending is also a personal favourite of mine, too.

I love Jin’s ending because they leave it up for interpretation. Jin is either having an inner struggle because he either allowed the Devil within him to fully consume him, and killed Kazuya, or he’s struggling because he didn’t finish off Kazuya when he had the chance.
I also really like the simplicity of Lee and Heihachi’s endings. Just them imagining themselves kicking the crap outta their rivals. Love the parallel between Angel and Jun’s endings. Devil’s is surprisingly wholesome. Paul, Ganryu, Baek, and Kuma also have really funny endings.

Despite this game being terribly unbalanced in terms of gameplay, this game was very fun and has certainly left a mark on me. Spent dozens of hours on this game

The only terrible thing was the PS2 port, full of bugs and glitches.
Nonetheless it's still one of the most played and enjoyable Tekken in the arcades

You were watching Nina's ending that time, but the answer is yes, she does. Unless you count her censored Tekken 3 ending, it took until Tekken 5 before they started treating Anna better in cinematics.
We need the old school arcade story to be incorporated into the Tekken series , they are simple and more engaging than the current lack of story

Honestly? I don't care what anyone says. This is one of my favorite Tekken games of all time, everything about it (specifically the console version) I absolutely loved. INCLUDING the endings AND it's music. I use that music as my online music for Tekken 7. Such a great song.
I believe Julia is entitled to be rude to Ganryu. He is a man twice her age that only likes cause she looks like her mum, meaning Ganryu is only interested in her because of her looks.
Which is funny, because Julia and Michelle aren't even blood related. Michelle just adopted a newborn Julia.

I have a theory about Tekken Tag 1 and possibly 2. They take place in some kind of timeless limbo the characters' souls go after dying. There, they can meet up with old friends and family and fight their enemies and rivals again for an infinite amount of time, before finally moving on... Think about it. Older characters are young again...(Not Wang though- he must think his age is part of his charm) The music in these endings really sells it too.

Man, the graphical leap between T3 and TTT1 was massive
not all that massive honestly...
it really shows that TTT1 was a launch title, while T3 was pushing the limits of the previous console generation.
the subtlety of the difference really becomes apparant when you directly compare T3 character models to their TTT1 counterpart (e.g. Nina, Julia, Heihachi, Yoshi, etc.)

Like Tekken 1, TTT1 uses the same theme for all endings except Unknown's.
I remember playing through this game with every character to unlock all the endings. Yes, even P. Jack, and they all sucked. Jun's ending gets recycled twice and then you have the tandem endings like Yoshimitsu and Kunimitsu where they play out the same but the outcome is slightly different. And none of the endings matter anyway because this is a dream match game. Still prefer it over Tekken 4 though.

That's Michelle, not Julia. Basically, before Julia replaced Michelle in T3, Ganryu had the hots for the OG Chang. It was just trivia, tho. The games never actually showed it. Tag Tournament started it off officially, pretty much.
