all these people complaining about the mosh style have no idea where PT comes from, Riley’s in particular heavy influences in hc punk... as someone who has spoken to them in person on multiple occasions i can tell you they each have a specific genre that influences them personally... as a result, an incredible crossover band
I watch this video and I can't simply believe that nobody knows when the local band that is just in front of he/she could become a world-class band. Also, you never know when would be the last time you can witness something like that, especially for guys like me who never attended a PT show... lucky ladies and gentlemen. Two lessons learned: never disregard the local band in front of you, since you cannot know what would be their next huge step, and always appreciate your family and friends, nobody is eternal, tho...
Who cares if they are hardcore dancing or not. They have fun doing it, isn't that what shows are all about? To have fun and enjoy the music and meet new people who same the same music interest. Plus power trip started out in the Dallas area and played shows with vulgar display and the whole Dallas Hardcore scene.
I dunno man, I feel it stops the pit from closing in tight, cause you know you don't really go to a show to be spin kicked or punched in the head. I feel like these big open pits where everyone is doing their own thing kinda spoil the atmosphere that you get in a big sweaty hectic crush! But whatever floats your boat I guess, I'll enjoy the tunes either way, I'll just be at the back with a beer.
Blashyrkh1993 I'm with ya man! This band kicks total ass and them idiots flailing around in the crowd look like they're about to dislocate a shoulder. I mean wtf?!? Somebody teach them how to mosh already!
My old band stopped mid set cause some idiots were hardcore dancing haha then continued when people started moshing. Hardcore dancers always end up hitting people especially girls which is annoying nobody wants to see people flail around like ballerina dancers or performing martial arts katas at a show
But what if other people want to mosh, or make the pit tighter? It ruins things for other people because they don't want to get close in case they get punched in the freaking head
And white people say other races are crazy. Last time I checked you didnt catch no filipinos or brothas dancing like that. Gotta admit. Shit looked fun tho.
I get punk, I get thrash, I get hardcore, and I play in a cross over band......but the kids doing the modern day hardcore dancing, which Im not a fan of, makes no sense in this style of music. Save it for your breakdowns kiddies.
