Thanks for sharing about your fav knife steels, you have a great selection of knives in your choice steels. 👌That cameo from your cat at the end was great as well. 😊😺Take care and Cheers!
You have some great choices. Mine are D2, 14C28N, S30V, Magnacut and K390..........and about any other steel that comes in a knife design that I like : )
I'm with you on the designs, that's the most important part for me. I just don't have as much experience with your latter 3 to really have much of an opinion. I've heard Magnacut is a lot like cruwear, so I'll probably like it a lot! Thanks for sharing!
@@clintwestwood3539 I was strongly considering 154cm since I've used it for so long, but I have gotten it to rust on me and that knocked it out. NGL, I don't even know what V4E is and will have to look it up. Thanks for sharing!
@@shkibby1 Vanadis 4 Extra! If you like cruwear, you will really like it. The composition is like 4V, but Bohler does some magic on it and if heat treated right (TRC production MilleCuori knife for example) can split nails without damage on the edge while being at 63/64 hrc (so extremely tough and extreme edge retention). It also sharpens up like cruwear which is a pleasure to me. You won’t find many production knives with it tho. Custom makers in the Balkans (Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary) do V4E very well from my experience, like Dulo Knives. Cheers. 154cm and 14c28n (also 12c27 for me and AEBL) should be the minimum requirement for any knife. They are just supremely balanced and inexpensive.
@@clintwestwood3539 I'll definitely keep an eye out! I've been wanting to try 3V and 4V already, glad to hear they act like stuff I already like. Thanks for the info!

Thanks for the inspo! it was great fun thinking it through since there are so many fun steels
Nice list! I would have a very hard time narrowing it down to 5 haha. Thanks for sharing!
No joke! It was pretty tough...
Nice selections.

Cruwear, V4E, 3V, K390, Magnacut, 14C28N, 154CM are the best imo
