15-16 years later and remembering how special that chapter of Palm Beach paintball was. Saturdays and Sundays at Hot Shots was all I looked forward to back then❤
It’s been years since I was a teenager and watched this video; And to this day even on a new account I still hunt this video down and listen to it. The narration is perfect. The memory to your friends untouchable and the memories made within this sport never to leave. I always miss playing but know the days will never be like they used to
It’s a very bittersweet feeling, going through divisionals while simultaneously becoming an adult with all your friends. Experiencing something the outside world can’t understand. It’s very metaphoric, in another life we were warriors
DQ works for derder now, this was sort of a end to a certain period in time for us palm beach players, if you played on palm beach during that period in time you know how much this video means. rip baby brother
Real paintballer's always come back. Paintball is a lifestyle and when im not playing im thinking about it constantly I quit for 2 years and every weekend i thought about playing again, and i can say it was the worst/hardest two years of my life. I am back now and could not be happier. PAINTBALL WILL NEVER DIE
That video accompanied me through my whole paintball career in europe. from a bloody beginner to an established Pro in europe and multiple national champ. I still remembered that this was one of the first videos i saw and it still touches me - even i quitted playing a year ago. What a time! Thank you for being a part!!
Thank you to all the homies in New Mexico. .68 krew, Pimpjuice, Duke City Coalition, ect. Been away from paintball for 10 years and the moment I try to get back the world seems like its going to end. I was a heroin addict those 10 yrs and I can honestly say I shouldnt have stepped away from PB and my friends but it was 08 and bad times. The Phoenix rises and we will conquer. America. Freedom. Thank you for this beautiful piece of history.
How could people dislike this?!? If you disliked this you sicko. One player is chasing their dream because of their 2 friends that died in a TRAGIC car accident so I this changed your mind you sick airsoft playing people!!
Damn, Just freaking teared up thinking bout the boys and guys I played with. We are now scattered to the four winds of the globe now. IF it was not for paintball I would not know my best friend. I wish we could stave off the real world just a bit longer and all live in the dream paintball created.
I played Paintball for 7 years, 1996-2003 and got to play against some of the best player the sport had, I agree with you the sport does seem to be dying a little more every year, I miss it all from the people I played with to the players I use to hate, it was the time of my life. Great Video and thanks for sharing.
Hands down DQ films is one of the greatest if not the greatest channel there is. Every time i watch a DQ film it makes me wanna pick up my paintball gun and drive to the nearest paintball fields and smash on everyone out there. And i can only imagine what these videos must do for the people who don't play this sport. I give DQ films my respect, what these videos do for the paintball community is terrific. Keep the dream alive Danny your doing a phenomenal job.
this vid was first posted about a month after i had to stop playing, really made me reflect on how it had such a positive impact paintball had on my life, felt like it gave me an identity. It's depressing to see it become smaller and smaller, i hope it'll bounce back.
Broooo!!!! Thank you!! This video gave me goose pumps! This video made me love our sport, this is THE REAL PAINTBALL! i have looked for this one for years!! I could start my new NXL season like i have lived my first MILLENIUM series back in the days! Just Thank you from FRANCE
(part 2) recently, older players like myself and others are teaching and mentoring younger players to help make them better at paintball and grow the sport as a whole. i think the sport of paintball will continue to grow and hopefully become much bigger than it was before. it just all comes down to both the players and the supporters to be a positive influence in the progression of paintball and grow the sport!!!
For me it seems like paintball is starting to grow again...This year it has been more people, and more stans than there has ever been in a long while at the tournaments.
I've only been playing for about 2 years but i havent noticed anything about paintball on the decline but i am fortunate enough to have a great field where you can go any given day and there are about 30 players that are open to play. Still a great vid
Dude, I agree completely. I didnt really start playing alot until 09, but I live in Phoenix as well. We dont have any speedball fields that are open more than 2 or 3 days a week. It sucks
@DxgProductions , you are the type of players we need out there, you keep the sport up and running and you probably brought airball back to that field, well hopefully. thanks for keeping the sport going is all i have to say, btw this video was fantastic, sad to see that DQ is gone, they did make the best paintball mixes out there, along with Gregoris Productions.
This was hands down one of the best paintball videos iv ever watched and i think the best part was watching the part at NEO where you guys where doing those races because as you where taking that i was walking by watching it and never really thought id see that on a paintball video letalone the best video iv ever seen. Amazing stuff really inspires me to start making videos.
If you could understand us, if you only knew why we love, if you knew why we fight, if you knew what this means to us. Paintball is more than a sport to us its our life, our passion. People will never understand us. People will never know why we love, Fight or what paintball really means to me and all of you. You know that feeling when you go to meet your other family at the field. and thats what i think gets us hooked the people we meet. Paintball can not be described in this short sentence...
i almost cried.. fortunately it's starting to grow again! less unemployed in the world. I hope to see it back at full strength and back on TV in 5 years :D
Much Respect for DQ films for making such great videos keep it up, and much love goes out to the Family and Friends of your fellow baller......Gone but never forgotten!
@peterprus you are truly right, i think about it at school and when im home, everywhere.... me and my friends even snap at each other in public pretending where playing... paintball is a way of life and it will never die, you make a hell of some good friends and just memorys that will never faid.
This video is so inspiring and it seems to look like everyone agree's that paintball is becoming smaller and more expensive, pretty much what im saying is if possible we should come together and make the economy change so we can happily play paintball and not go bankrupt i think that if we can get the prices lowered even the slightest bit it would make it more enjoyable for everyone so we can all play in Ian & kevin's honor, RIP boys your impact in paintball will be always remembered,
i understand alot of younger players think its growing, its actually not , im only 15 but i realize it only seems like that cause your involved now go look at all the videos from 2006-2009 looked so much less hostile and competitive, people played to have fun and have a good time, i wish i could have been a part of that.
paintballing is not dieng out people are just not as into it as they used to be stuff becomes more expensive im a 13 year old player and i love the sport more people should play this video is really good thanks for making it
2019. Speedball wont die. If they are still selling $1500+ markers then the market is still there. Plenty of teams go out and practice still. I stopped in 2010. Just started back up again last week and there were plentyyyyyy of people out playing speedball.
Me pray one day every milsim paintballer will gather together at the biggest woodsball field to play for the dying speedball who gave us birth... To dying speedball me say in words of General MacArthur... Old soldiers never die, they just fade away... An on ye gravestone should be carved... Without speedball milsim would have never been born...
@NiCkOnRaSeD Yea its a real shame that he has stopped making videos all together, hence the name of the video. He had definetly the best paintball videos. He somehow captured so much emotions and amazing footage in his work.
Shit i remember paintballing in 03-04 SO many options of fields to play on and it wasnt just the weekends like it is now i was able to go to Indoor Paintballing any day of the week in phx Az.... Now im stuck to waiting till the weekend but ey it is what it is.
(part 1) def gotta agree with the economy as being the number one killer to the sport, i work at Velocity Paintball Park in San Diego, Ca and saw first hand as paintball slowly began to die, but it seems to be pulling out we are finally seeing larger numbers of players coming back out and playing. also i witnessed and played with alot of those guys that thought it was cool to bonus ball a new player which also contributed to killing the sport, but from what i have seen a lot has changed
While on vacation in Florida, i brought my paintball gear and some extra money to go play. When i got to the field, there was an airball field that looked completely abandoned with deflated bunkers all over the place. What did i do? I walked into the shop and asked for the blower; I inflated all the bunkers on the field and began getting games going. I didn't play, i only refereed that day along with a good friend of mine. I will never forget how they treated that field- as if it were nothing.
if the sport would prosper we would see more events broadcast on espn and shit, i love paintball, but could not afford to keep playing. The past few years here in canada the teams and cxbl has been growing and becoming amazing. with Richer team owners it gives the ability to provide a cost effective way to play. you need solid owners to back and support the good players. others, whats the point in going pro
I do have to admit the sport is dieing. Here in florida where Ilive we had three fields and now we are down to two fields and both of them are far away from me so I really miss the one that closed down because it wa so close to me. :( :( :( :(
Agreed. I personally think paintball companies ask too much of their customers to pay so much money. If they could just charge a little less, because say it takes under $100 to make a high end gun, then why do they have to charge $1000 for it? I guess it is what it is. I hope our sport continues to prosper and grow.
To be honest: I think it's much deserved. Paintball is a rich mans sport. Or a sport for people who have a large supply of expendable income. I know where I live paintball died because it was just too much money. Those of us who played grew up and had kids.
12 years later and still a throw-back to the golden ages of paintball
15-16 years later and remembering how special that chapter of Palm Beach paintball was. Saturdays and Sundays at Hot Shots was all I looked forward to back then❤
Man almost 6 years I've been playing paintball and this video is still one of the best.

@@outis918 Right? Feels so different these days.
Haven’t played in almost 9 years. This video makes me extremely sad.

hands down the greatest paintball video ive ever seen....almost cried in the begining...very emotional....
2024 this still is amazing and brings back so much love. New videos cannot compare to these old gems from the 07-13
How could people dislike this?!? If you disliked this you sicko. One player is chasing their dream because of their 2 friends that died in a TRAGIC car accident so I this changed your mind you sick airsoft playing people!!
i know right its terrible
Watching this 10 years later makes me so sad. Playing at hotshots was the best
Thumbs up if watching this in 2014!! Has to be one of the best of all time.
Damn, Just freaking teared up thinking bout the boys and guys I played with. We are now scattered to the four winds of the globe now. IF it was not for paintball I would not know my best friend. I wish we could stave off the real world just a bit longer and all live in the dream paintball created.
Still one of the best montage videos out there after all these years. Music is perfect across the whole video.
Such inspiration in one video
So glad to see all the stories about what paintball means to everybody. Keep up the discussion!
and as always, long live the sport of paintball!
Damn...Sorry for your loss , in behalf of Motacs Recon NY. We really feel your pain.
2017 still love the beginning

@Ordway54 Actually Cudi's Song Uses the instrumental from the funeral for his song "The Prayer" Which is an amazing song.

Agreed. I wish more people actually did this stuff in your comment rather than be all talk and no show. Thankyou for thinking the way you do.

Quite awesome video. You guys took paintball to an amazing level -- and I'm sure you are all better for it.
the best vid i have seen on youtube.
awesome video dude!!!
I think the dislike is a guy disliking the story of paintball dying. You have my utmost respect for this brother.
I dont know about anywhere else, but in south florida paintball is seriously back on the rise.
the field I play at some times has over 20 parties and sometimes over 300 people on the weekends. paintball is not dying but reshaping.
it takes alot for me to like a video........and this made it.
amazing!!!
I've heard of you... You went to east coast extreme and did filming there Thomas and the millers said they haven't seen you for a while
:)

soooo nice..! i love it! i love paintball :)
am i the the only one who this paintball is slowly coming back
I miss playing so bad, but i don't have the time or money anymore, especially with the closest field being over an hour away
While on vacation in Florida, i brought my paintball gear and some extra money to go play. Margin is much lower than you think. Paintball is a luxury sport. Great video though.

For copyright reasons(I believe for the music), TH-cam has unfortunately disabled that option.
