I should think the opening while moving along has the worst effect on the roof mechanism.... I could never understand the fascination of opening the roof while in motion, the whole action acts as an airbrake putting pressure on the whole roof system.
This what makes me pass on this vehicle completely. Not to mention bird drops. What was mercedes thinking. Soft top is completely waste of time. Use carbon and go hard top.!!!!
Those wheels are not 10k from Mercedes they are $4500 And no it doesn’t have Carbon Ceramic. The MB ceramic are a burnt orange color. Trust me. I have one. This combo is beautiful

What is the life span of the "soft top" cover as compared to the hard top ie will it need to be replaced after a number of years?
I would say the cold and weather can have a big effect on a soft top cover. If you live in colder climate I would recommend hard top

Yeah the guy told me 10k so I went with his words. Then checked on Canada’s website said 4500$. Hopefully you will enjoy it during the summer days
