Ngl, this is the only shoe you’ve ever reviewed that actually hurt to see cut up, lol. Awesome that you reviewed these tho. The KT line is my favorite basketball shoe line and has been for quite some time now. They’re so consistent and fit so well.

@@patricktuwaidan4705 the Chinese re sellers like anta shop and wow sole, about 400. OAKLANDISH had them for 200 but spotted in terms of sizing, up to 10 and 12.5 left I think

Love your channel, been subscribed a while and love that you really do more than just "popular" brands it has really opened up my choices. Also I love that you seem to mostly gravitate to Tennis and Basketball which are the 2 sports I like to play the most. I would love to see more videos (like your recent one) on the best combination basketball/tennis multiuse type shoes as it really helps someone like me with a more limited budget.

The KT7s are definitely a staple in my rotation (I have the Rocco colorway). Even the regular versions with laces have really good lockdown. And the traction and cushioning setup is amazing. As you said they’re nimble. Actually they’re surprisingly nimble even though it may not look like it, and the cushioning still offers plenty of impact protection and bounce.
And I can say that they’re a good rehab shoe as well. Over the last two weeks the KT7s has been the only shoe I’ve been wearing on court as I’ve been dealing with some minor knee pains, and the KT7s have been a very big help.
what size did you go with versus other shoes in your rotation?!

that lace tie system was used in downhill hill Mt bike shoes mid cut by company in 1999 called SIDI they make all kind of motorcycle & Mt bike shoes

I realise these shoes aren’t in your usual wheelhouse, but would be interested to get your opinion on the ‘bare foot’ category of shoes like Vivo. I’m not sure they’re really doing what they say they’re doing and it’s tough to find credible info online.

I used the Boa system in my snowboard boots for years. For the most part I was happy with them, but I went back to laces and I was able to adjust the tension much better. I don't know if I could use the system on Basketball kicks,

I'm kind of missing that traction pattern from KT3,4 and 5
Thanks! Glad you liked it - at least for me it’s similar but my memory is a tad fuzzy on those models
KT7 is so far the best. You need to try the cushion, its even better than LiNing's boom, way bouncier than Boost, yet provide more shock absorption just like Zach said. It might sound crazy, if we are only talking about cushion, I think both Anta and Lining have better technology than Adidas, UA, PUMA, etc. This tech is as responsive as Zoom air but more stable since it will eventually change to a shape which fit your foot.
@@manglu859 Already ordered my pair ! Can't wait to try them out. And yeah, I agree. All the KT's I had so far (up from the KT3 low) were absolutely great in that area - way better than Nike or adidas with similiar price points. Also they just fit me better
I have kt5 low. which is missing inside support, foam is not that great. KT7 is on a whole new level, it is unbelievable how much they got better.
I hope you can grab the Jordan 33, 33 low and the BB Adapt. You'll get the kick on cutting those up.
Really dig the kt7 lows but i was wondering what size to get since i can only get them online.. coming from a nike sizing (kd14).. should i get the same size for these?

I’m a 2E in width, and I’m flat footed. I wear a 10 in the pg6 and every adidas shoe, but a 10.5 in about any other Nike shoe than the pg6, such as kyrie 8 and aj36. Should I go 10.5 or 10?

I think I found a perfect shoe for myself :) been hurting my heel because of plantar fasciitis. tried different shoes still hurting my heel - I think kt7 is the answer.

I wear an 11.5 in most Nike shoes and 12 in some of the more narrow shoes (Kyries and earlier KDs) Anta doesn’t offer 11.5, what size would you suggest I select for these ?

not a fan of my KT6 due to how bad it was for my feet, very interested in the Boa system due to golf, might give Anta another chance after trying these out by their shop later.

Great review Zach. I really like Anta shoes in general. The KT7 is Klay Thompson signature shoe. I believe the Boa edition is a China domestic model as they are not licensed to export the Boa system. Personally I prefer the KT low series. The KT5 Low & KT6 Low were fantastic shoes so I'm waiting for the KT7 Low. Another shoe you can consider is the GH3 - Gordon Haywards signature shoe. The GH series are more suited for people with narrow feet. Anta really knows how to make a "themed" shoe!

Beautiful midsole ! How does it compares to the asics court ff 2 ? They have the same heel height (2.7) and similar heel to toe drop.
Completely different -apples and oranges- these much more lively
Zach, do you think those winglets are designed to protect Klay's Achilles from getting reinjured? it seems to me that they spent a considerable time designing around heel stability so it doesn't slide around and put his achilles tendon in a weird angle.
Not sure- they’re also to keep the foam from deforming

D rose 7 have that thing where sole is smaller than the like contact sole thing
No lie, when you cut up the shoe, I was aghast... but when you broke everything down, I was like... I'll get that shoe like right now, if i could find them! plus the whole focal point of you talk about foot comfort is essential to everything.

the Klay shoes are solid and full of tech every gen. it is a crime they dont carry them in any local stores
Been a fan of the KT line. Got me a KT3 Low and KT4 Low because of Chris' review in Weartesters. But now, I appreciate this more because mainly, who will argue with an actual foot doctor?! 👊🏼
But can you give your expert opinion on the KT7 Low? What could be the main difference and advantage of a low top?
Lows to me are more about "feeling" than actual difference in performance, not really a huge fan of lows in hoops just because you dont get the feedback a mid or high gives you

Is this shoe suitable with orthotics with an extrinsic heel post? And what position do you recommend for wearing these shoes?
Should be but id have to see how high the heels are - These are more of an all court shoe but if I had to say one itd probably be point guard or shooting guard

Awesome video, would you say these run long (like the kt3) or true to size/snug like the KT4 and 5? I usually wear an 11 but only a 10.5 is available and no returns allowed. My foot is sort of wide but not over 2e. I noticed in the vid you said they were generous but I didn't mean if that meant long or wide. Depends on your footwork but in the middle of the road durability wise
Do you only get one pair or two for when your tearing down your shoes?
Depends- most times 1- play 3-4 times, do the tests, wear them to work then cut them open during filming the review
