I test rode the SM650 and the rear shockers made me rethink my decisions. I saw a green GT650 in the RE showroom test vehicles lot and decided to take a ride - and boy I just fell in love with it. I love the looks, the riding position, the power surge, and the attitude it carries. GT650-Apex Grey is the one for me!
I was thinking of getting the Super Meteor 'till I test rode it and my back was aching for days, decided to put a deposit on the blacked-out Int 650. 😎
It a interceptor 650 cause I know how comfortable it is in town road and touring other places though it's not a cafe racer neither a perfect cruiser it's a package of both of them ☺️
definitely Interceptor 650. rode it once as a rental. fell in love and got one in Orange Crush colour. it's the most practical one of the three. simply love it!
I got my Continental GT 650 in Apex Grey as soon as it released. I was eagerly waiting for the alloy wheel/LED update frankly. As far as my opinion about the ride quality and an overall experience is concerned, Id say I'm happy to own this bike. Every bike has its pros and cons, it's the rider who has to decide what is he ready to live with for a good amount of time. I did a good amount of research on cafe racers, also spent a decent amount of time talking to GT 650 owners about their experiences and opinions too. Finally got my hands on my own bike and I must say I'm enjoying every bit of it. Im using it for daily commuting as well as for weekend breakfast rides.

Sorry varun bro iam your big fan and i love the super meteor as well, but i cant say no to the GT 650 😁. @powerdrift. Come on you also love the gt right?😄.
For me it’s the Super Meteor 650. Am in love with the stance. The rising posture is just what I had been looking for. I wish this bike was available in my 20’s.
If Meteor 650 existed in 2021 I would have bought that. I was aiming for GT but I needed something that would be easy on my back and would handle offroad and gravel roads as well. So I went for the Interceptor, just when I booked a BMW G310GS and cancelled that after test riding the Interceptor. Now, I've got a taller handlebar, touring seat and a lot of scratches on my bike but it's perfect. On bad roads I can just stand up, try that on the GT or the Meteor. On good roads, I can just lay back and relax. I can just put the bike on 3rd gear and it does 30-120kph on it, that's a wide useable range for a gear. On mountain roads I just put it in 3rd gear and it's almost like riding an automatic. Uphill, downhill, it doesn't matter. The engine manages it all flawlessly. Interceptor might not be a good racer or a good cruiser but overall it's a good bike. Meteor 650 looks like a good bike to carry luggage and travel large distances. Interceptor doesn't look good with saddlebags. GT is a bike for youngsters. I'm 30 and I used to get back and shoulder pain on the stock interceptor. Can't imagine what GT would feel like. Meteor 650 would feel like heaven, until you meet bad roads. Then you'd feel like hell.
You think 30 is old? If you have pain all over the body in your early 30s, it's not the age but you are not fit is the reason, or you have got some health issues.
@@sathyaki you can ride GT continuously for 3 hours without taking a break? No you can't! You can't take GT offroad, the rider doesn't have the proper stance for it. You can do all that on a GT but you'd be torturing yourself to prove a point. GT is bought mostly by youngsters who don't have much travelling to do. If I were in college and had enough money to buy a GT I'd buy a RC 390 because it's the faster bike and lighter bike. I was considering GT before Interceptor because it looked cooler, but after test riding them both I realised GT won't be an all round bike. If I had to travel for an hour or less everyday, sure, I'd have bought GT. But for travelling from Rural Shimla to Delhi in a day? Nope, nobody is going to make it on GT or any other bike with that stance. People can't make it even on Triumph Tigers. So yeah, GT is for youngsters, who can torture themselves to prove a point. But for those who like to be more versatile and practical Interceptor is the better choice. I can take it offroad, I car ride it on the twisties, and I can ride it on the highway, all in a single day, covering over 500kms. Riding on straight highways is easy, try riding on mountain roads with potholes and gravel.
@@Ardon-x1t11 not handlebar, I installed angled handlebar risers from Carbon Racing. The lift the handlebars up by almost 2 inches and bring the handlebar closer to the rider by almost an inch. The riding posture feels closer to Himalayan now and also saddling is easier. But, cable rerouting is required for clutch, front brake and throttle cables. It also doesn't look good as stock handlebar setup as the handlebars look too high but the comfort is top notch. I also got RE touring seat which is firmer and has thicker cushion. And then air seat to make the ride extremely comfortable.
For me the Super Meteor is the one to go. It’s surprisingly agile, handles quite well, has a very smooth throttle response without any jerk (Inty and GT have some amount of throttle jerkiness at lower revvs), can handle 2-up riding better, has a better high speed stability and has a better weight balance.

No matter how comfy or better suited for long rides that the interceptor and super meteor are, they do not interest me the same way as the cafe racer, a style I grew up with because of my Dad... Choose one that speaks to you, and you won't go wrong.
Proud to own an SM 650. It’s slowest of the category but it’s every bit cruiser I always dreamt to own. HD will have to wait for few more years 😜.. Also the drive pass through Dorabjee’s old hotel is cliche and an ode to old n beautiful Pune of past . Loved your video..
Perfect video for confused buyers of 650 🎉
Interceptor since I already own one and love it to bits.
The GT 535 was a gem! Had I appreciated it more back then, I would have had one. The engine configuration was sweet! An overbored 500 with the 350's crank.
So vibey man!
@@vroombk It was fine. Nothing too difficult to get used to. Still, I know I am happier with my 5-month-old Interceptor 650. Fortunately, it's the one before the addition of fancy electronics like OBD2 and LED headlight.
HD400 ka video kaha hai?
Arey bought interceptor 650 2 weeks back mark 2 variant. Took my pops for a spin . I still have smuck face!!
I have int 650 2019 it’s a fun ride bike I still own
PD please tell me when is the classic 650 coming ?
I have an interceptor. Orange one it’s beautiful and I also love the gt 650, which I don’t have, it’salso beautiful, while I love the features and quality of SM 650 but I’m not a fan of the looks of traditional American cruisers, just the British retro roadsters and cafe racers
For most Indians and Indian sadaks, all that was missing from the Bullets and TBs was an additional 10 kmph cruising and uphill ability. (I rode a TB for 5 years, from Goa up to Dharamshala). Look at how RE has tried to address that. Kya soch ke? Ki Sardaar khush hoga, saabasi dega?
Can't wait for classic 650.
I think I love the Super Interceptor GT 650!! 🥴
It seems something like...
I have three types of shoes.
1. Formula office shoes
2. Casual wear shoes.
3. Sports shoes for walking and games.
And you are asking which is the best shoe.
All three are suitable and three are required.
😊
