Never eat your good food and drinks again!! Best hidden gem of the Sept Patch in Everquest.

- Hello all,
I wanted to share a nice trick with folks on how to never eat or drink your stat food ever again.
In the Sept patch they added
- Added a chat filter for Food and Drink messages.
This will allow us to filter this message to a spam window we do not care about then make a /useitem (food name) and /useitem (drink name) to consume junk food while keeping our good stat food in the upper most bag spots.
Very nice addition to the game. Thank you to the person responsible for this :)

Good tip! Instead of adding it to a commonly used hot key, multi-bind one of your arrow keys to a social button that has the /useitem in it.
yeah whatever works is good for sure. Only reason why I feel movement is not good is that it causes slightly larger log file for your gina to sort through. In a game of micro gains and penalties everything adds up.
I have been doing something similar for about a decade. I bound an eat and drink key to my left and right movement buttons. Seems now I can get rid of those hotkeys and binding.

Try Bucket of Crab Legs. Like Kaladim Constitutional they stack to 1000, and are miraculous meals
i love crab legs.. plane of water is a great zone to farm ts stuff. easy combines for skill ups as well. For sure bucket of crab legs is a great one as well.

the eating of junk food been on forever, but the ability to filter the chat of it hasnt. So now folks can use the spam key and not worry about missing important chats.
meh...too much effort to even worry about food and drink bonuses these days. I guess you max min types have an obsession :P gameplay wise, this doesn't matter in the group or the raid game at all anymore and hasn't for years.
The devs keep designing content for a player base that no longer exists. Those that are left gotta eke out every possible bit of damage possible.

Sept patch of 1999? lol You've always been able to game the food system.
yes you can always attach eating to a spam button since forever.. but that text was filtered to the "other" chat. That chat had several other things sent to it that were useful in raid and group settings. So with this patch now you can safely filter it to a spam window and not worry about missing anything.
