Trader is one shop I would love to revisit, seems like they had several interesting games this time! Once they build a railroad from Europe to Japan I may return... ;)

after watching your videos, I actually went hunting for a Japanese ps2 on ebay... found a great deal on one for under 100 bucks for a slim silver one with six games! (it included initial d special stage, which as a huge fan of the arcade stage games has definitely been on my wlshlist for some time now!) definitely getting some ideas for future acquisitions because of this video, though! keep up the great work.

Nice little stroll into Trader! Finally got my hands on a pc-engin duo R for a good price. Nice suggestions on Hue card games.👍 now i just need to find an adapter and controller and ill be in business🎮🤯
Nice collection I have one of 3 vintage consoles like Super Famicom. Sega Genesis modified cartridge slot for mega drive. Family Computer. Thanks Jim for inspiration to collect games. Stay safe and god bless.
Oh damn! Trader has 2 Supergameboy 2 and last November I couldn't find one in all Shops. Probably I was a bit blind 🤔
I am a subscriber to Korea. Always watching well. I like learning retro games and learning English, and now I can't go because of the covid 19 virus, but sometimes I go to Japan often. I hope you can improve your English and see you next time :)

The retro game stores I go into could only dream of the massive amounts of Dreamcast games that store seems to have. Several months ago I heard a kid in one such store telling the clerk that he wanted to get into Dreamcast gaming but there's nothing to buy other than NFL2K (which makes up around 80% of Dreamcast shelf space in most stores I've been to) or the Web Browser. People generally don't get rid of their Dreamcast games. Not nowadays, since it's gained cult status in the past decade.
Thanks for this! It really helps me get over the disappointment that I had to cancel my June trip to Japan. Hopefully I'll be able to go in October instead.

I had to cancel mine too. I was going to Tokyo, Sendai, Kyoto and Hokkaido. I'm doing it next year instead, hopefully covid is over by then.
I think you should hold off beyond October my dude. It's not worth risking your life for; wait for a vaccine before major travel. It will still be there ^^

_DUX_ almost sounds like they intentionally named it that just so they could release an upgraded version called _RE_DUX_ not long after. PSOne has one of the greatest libraries with so many more obscure beauties waiting to be dug up. The Super Famicom prices though...youch! The thirst for import retro still seems to have that choke-hold on main-land prices. Well, thanks for another romp through retro Japan-land!

If you get a sega master system you should check out wonder boy in monster land, zillion, choplifter, and pinguin land. All great games.
So this Trader shop sells both English and Japanese games and in a protective case? I think that's kinda cool.
I always get so jealous when I see a bunch of pc engine consoles in any of your videos. I saw 1 core grafx in all my hunting, was boxed and more than it would cost me to get one imported.
Definitely play Bloodstained once you're done with DQXI and Scramble.

To me, Trader always has the best price to selection curation ratio in Akiba. But its junk piles are a shadow of their former selves.

It depends. DQ11 I'm playing in English, P5 Scramble I'm playing in Japanese. I can play RPGs in either language, though I follow the story better in English.
I hope you snag a copy of Panzer Bandit. I got mine before the nutty prices. call me crazy, but I enjoy it more than Guardian Heroes because its more action oriented, one of my treasured PS1 Imports.

16,700 yen for Kyukyoku Tiger II Plus....ouch. I paid $50 for it about 10 years ago at a game shop in San Antonio,Texas while I was on vacation near there. And it's a sad state affairs when even the Japanese Kiki Kaikai games are so expensive, that they cost, an arm, a leg, and a first born to buy.
Lesson learned from this video? Trader is extremely expensive for their games.

Just starting watching your channel love it, what do you do in Japan to be able to live there? I have visited a few times but that's about it.
I attended college in Tokyo, and afterwards I started working as an English teacher. Back in the day I was a medic in the US Air Force so that was how I came to Japan the first time around.

They're typically about $200. It's worth it if you're a collector, and it is a convenient console if you like to swap back and forth between carts and discs.

I know that MK 11 got banned from Japan for the gore and violence in the game, interesting to see it there.
Probably just no publishers here wanted to publish it, but the English version is readily available and modern consoles are region free so it's all good.
It's weird but at least the players in Japan can like you said, buy the U.S. copy and play it.

Hate to say it, but I tried playing bloodstained on the switch and after an hour I had to stop and get the PC version instead. The switch version is just that bad unfortunately.

@@MadPanicGaming the controls are unresponsive due to significant input delay. The frame rate is quite low, even in docked mode. The graphics are kinda blurry too so the artistic intent is somewhat lost. I found it to be a night and day difference. They were supposed to address the issues with some patches but at the time I played the game (6 months ago) it was still not patched.
