I see either heathcliff, don, or Hong lu distorting (coincidentally the upcoming cantos) heathcliff for the nature of the book, along with him being the villain of his book (like the other guy said) but don and hong lu could too because of their delusions. ESPECIALLY when we learn more about Hong Lu's safe place fully breaking down..
@@GreaseBall.I don't see Hong Lu breaking down because his idiot persona is never off, like he isn't an actual moron and if you read between the lines of his dialogue its clear he has a good head on his shoulders but he's so used to acting like a clueless fool to decieve others that its become a part of him in a way, at least that's my interpretation
@@TheRingerer1113 Yeah, i fully agree. im starting to read his book, he isnt stupid at all, and in fact, quite rude. He's in my top 4 sinners, so i like to analyse him quite a lot. Hong Lu is rude underneath his persona. Multiple of his ids include him being a rude person (which, mind you, ids have to be based off the original persona) and i assume this is through all the trauma he has gone through in his home life. Now either Daguanyuan (the safe space Hong Lu has to protect himself from the hell of his reality) is already destroyed, or we see it get destroyed in his canto, which will let the truth of his life, and everything hes wished to deny come crashing down on him. Edit; like the other person said, distortions occur through an unchanging constant changing. The unchanging constant being the safe place of Daguanyuan, and the change is it being destroyed. This, also along with what Dante said when lighting of fire in 5.5 2, of distortions occur when one understands the sins they have but refuse to bear them. He could have somehow caused the collapse of the Daguanyuan, cannot bear the sins he has caused, and distorts.

I think it would make sense for him to Distort since you could argue he's the villain of his own story, at least his book counterpart is.
