Sunda Scops Owls in urban Singapore (with sound spectrogram)

This is a series of videos taken on the 7th May 2024, between 3:10-5pm, from two locations (about 20m or more from the nest). As this particular nest of the Sunda Scops Owl is so near to the traffic, I took the opportunity to document how the pair of owl nestlings would react to anthropogenic noise pollution (passing buses, trucks, cars, and humans talking), hence most of the video clips selected have passing buses or traffic, humans talking etc. A sound spectrogram (up to 22000Hz) shows the urban soundscape of this particular nest.

about 20m or more from the nest? Initially I was near a stairway beside the path; later i moved to a road divider; a raised embarkment about 2m wide so as to capture the sounds of traffic from both directions (but have to be extra careful with the traffic). Stopped filming at 5pm to avoid the evening traffic.
