Fantastic job ! The way bus heat should be done. Does your other bus have radiant heat ? Is that 3/8 or 1/2" PEX? How do you make sure you don't drive a screw or a nail into the PEX when you put down the next layers ? Nice attention to detail with the biscuit joiner between the sheets. I love seeing a nice clean, well prepped shell at the start of the conversion.
We used 1/2 PEX. This will be supplemental comfort, not our primary heating , we will have heat exchangers for that attached to the Oasis. I drew the layout of the pipes on the floor. The next layer is a floating floor. We only put it in the center 3 feet so that it would not interfere with any cabinets and built ins.
@@LacroixCruiserI’m watching this 4 years after you completed the build and I was wondering why pex was only down the centre - thanks for answering my questions - I saw a tour you did of you finished bus so I had to come and check out your channel - really enjoying it ! You two are a great team
Hey Bonjour! Happy Birthday Silvy. You both are amazing! Before this renovation I thought your mechanical systems were genious! I can't wait to see how this progresses! Great to have your family help! Oh have fun! Enjoy, and thank you for sharing your journey! I appreciate that part too! Maybe I'll learn some French too! God bless!
Did you glue the ceramic paper down? Or is the vapor barrier holding it until the rest of the material was placed on top. Great job have enjoyed watching your build, you have given me some great ideas. Thank you
Trying to catch up with all the great content. I am sure, that I just missed the video but let me ask anyways. What is the floor you are routing in? We are converting a bus in Germany. Even not speaking French we really love the individual touch it gives your videos.
Hello, thanks for the education and help you give people in converting their buses. l just watched the episode were you placed in the hydronic heating, just a couple of questions. 1st - l noticed, you didn't place glue down before the sheets, You screwed down the sides of of the sheets away from the plumbing ( heating hose ). l understand the aluminium sheets - heat distribution, put my question is, l'm going to put down laminated flooring, will the heat lift up the glued laminated flooring ( distort ). l love how you got fridge out of the bus, l was stressing how to place one in the bus after the flooring was down, as l didn't want to place it in when l did the roof raise, then move it around all the time, while renovating the bus, the front windows need a tidy up recorkin, etc. thanks Rodney.
Some laminate floors are designed for use with a heated floor, make sure yours is. As for the fridge, our new fridge is a counter depth fridge, and it fits perfectly through the door.
Happy Birthday!!!!!! Mr Lacroix Cruiser, you are very lucky to have a wife who works as hard as yours does. My wife is of the same cloth and that's what it takes to be successful, a "team". I've been studying this bus rv conversion stuff for awhile now and I have many questions that I believe you could shed light on if you'd be willing, engine type and a few other things? I know you two are very busy with this project and LIFE. I'm not sure if there's a way to send messages here but I'd love to speak with you. Again,, Happy birthday to your very hard working wife. Subscribed!! 😉
Bonne fete Sylvie.
Yvan, SVP transmette mes salutions a ton fils Sébastien. Mon nom est BOB et j'ai travailler avec lui a Saint-Hyacinthe. Love your channel too. Keep up the good work.
Good work guys. Would like to know the btu gain from the tubes. I'm converting a Van Hool to rv and consulted with an hvac engineer and he said the most I could get out of the square footage was 3 to 5k btu's. In his opinion not worth it-
Happy Belated Birthday Silvie! Are you planning to put the same fridge back in? You seem very glad to have it out, so perhaps not? And where does one buy 4 x 8 ft 20 gauge aluminum? Only small sheets in my local hardware!
We are putting in a counter depth fridge that fits through the door, the monolith is now officially a garage fridge. We purchased the aluminum from a local metal wholesaler who normally supplies welders and manufacturing companies.
Vous êtes vraiment Hallucinant ❤️ 👍😀
Merci!
Happy Birthday. Χρόνια Πολλά Sylivie
Looks great and Happy birthday
Happy birthday, Sylvie. Nice to see the family working together. Your kids and grandkids are fortunate to learn these skills from you.
Thanks

You’re the first for next year!

With a last name like Rousseau, you have a head start on the French part.,
Isn't it funny how we get excited about the most random of milestones? Looking great, y'all!
Thank you.,
Bonne fête! Du beau travail. Toujours intéressant d'entendre les raisons pour vos décisions.
Did you ever consider putting a slide in it ?
No , not our style.
Awesome work, what size of pipe did you use?
We used 1/2 inch PEX designed for in floor heating.
Did you glue the ceramic paper down? Or is the vapor barrier holding it until the rest of the material was placed on top. Great job have enjoyed watching your build, you have given me some great ideas. Thank you
On the floor we just put it down.

We didn’t do the hydronic floors to heat the bus, just for additional comfort.
@@LacroixCruiser What's your choice for boiler?
We will be using an Oasis system
