    This brings back memories of my 91 that unfortunately rusted out. Sadly I was not making enough at that age to keep up with it and had to part ways, miss it dearly to this day. My dad bought it new back in the day and handed it down to me. If I could go back in time and stop myself I would.
    You hit the nail on the head with them being tanks. I was going 70 and tboned a car that blew a stop sign. He was fine thank god and my truck didn’t get any damage besides the blinker light. Bumper bent in, cracked it and popped back out into shape.
    Driving an F-150 now, and while I love having a truck again nothing will match the joy I had with my old Blazer. Hoping to pick one up some day down the road.

    Perfect amount of room down the side of the seat for a rifle I agree. I remember ripping around in the woods with my brothers blazer with our .22s it was great fun.

    This video could easily be used for advertisement for K5 Blazer Trucks 😍😎🤘...totally agree with you, Sir. What a Beast!plus the perfect lift and big tires 🥰...you are right, they don't make such Trucks anymore. I would prefer Square Body Trucks to modern trucks any day. Awesome video though. I can feel how proud you are owning such a beast. I mean, I Would!!!... Cheers! Looking forward to more videos of your running or off roading 🤘😎

    Love it. Did you add those nerf bars? What manufacturer and was it bolt on with existing mounts/holes?

    I agree with everything you said. I only drive old trucks early 90s and older. Nothing better in my opinion for all the reasons that were stated in this video and more

    Being built like a tank doesn't equal safety. Newer vehicles are designed to crumple because it absorb the energy from a crash instead of transferring it to you. Plus no air bags. But I love my 87 K5 and it's not a daily so that's ok.

    Very good points. I agree with all except for the firearm. I wanted to buy an 04 suburban but now I'm thinking of getting a late 80s from Florida and oil spraying it. I'm Canadian so it will rust when winter driven and if it rusts out I'll buy another.

    Bulletproof 4wd system lol. Love a K5 but the drivetrains are garbage if you really wheel em much.

    • @TheDeJureTour
      @TheDeJureTour 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really? I've wheeled mine all over the place for the past 17 years, only had the t-case go out because the pervious owner had done an improper job of a t-case drop. Other than that, no issues.

    They are cool looking trucks, but you are wrong about the safety. Today's cars are safer than they've ever been. This may be all metal but it'll still crumple like a tin can in a serious accident.

    • @TheDeJureTour
      @TheDeJureTour 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      One thing to consider - when you drive one of these, you are not going to be going 90 MPH & rushing & darting about like everyone else does nowadays. Also, you gauge your stopping distance pretty good, because these trucks do not stop on a dime. It's smiles per gallon with these trucks, and usually it's worth it.

      wrong they do not cumple i got in a 3 truck pile up with my 87 squarebody and i was in the middle. both new trucks were destroyed not even a scratch on my truck the new chevy that hit me from behind whole front end crumpled when it collided with my bumper same with the truck i rearended. these trucks were not designed to crumple you can also watch crash tests where they run them into brick walls and they do not crumple

    Get rid of that lift kit and big tires those don't do anything for off roading.
