Tim Curry is multi-talented! Being in a recording session with him must've been a hoot, especially at the end, when his character is revealed. I would've probably busted out laughing in the recording studio. He does a great Southern accent. If any of you have ever seen Pass the Ammo, you will definitely see more of his Southern accent showcased!
This is actually Season 1 Episode 2. "A Snake in Cow's Clothing" aired on September 9, 1992 in the US. Episode 11 is actually "Dances with Bulls", which aired on November 21, 1992
I vaguely remembered this exact episode from when I use a vcr to record some Saturday morning cartoons. Since then I've forgotten this even existed until today
I really feel for Dakota Dude and Moo Montana in this episode. We all have been in their place before. Girls we like who won't give us the time of day because of some good lookin feller who turns out to be a real weasel. An' then they ask us to do something for the creep, an' we can't do nothin' but help. I didn't even grow up with the show, and yet I some how learned its lessons. Now that I've found it I wish I had seen it when I was a kid.
To be completely honest- Jacques La Beef is judicious, assertive, courteous, quick-witted, ungenerous, egotistical, sympathetic, level-headed, accountable, bold, erudite, emotionless and funny.
Has anyone noticed at 6:54, when that deputy was looking at those wanted posters, he went "Nope, nope, maybe" he shows Moo the same poster he said nope? Why say maybe when you've already said no?
I can't believe that Tim Curry voiced as both the goat and Jacques La Beef (1:24). I would've preferred having Tim Curry voices only as Jacques Le Beef and had someone else voice as the goat. Just out of curiosity, I would've liked to see Lily's and Cowlamity's reactions when Marshal Moo had found out that that Jacques La Beef is really Barney Finkleberg and if Moo had returned to Cow Town with Barney Finkleberg too and not just with the valuables before this episode ended, Lily and Cowlamity would've been so angry and would've wanted Marshal Moo to arrest him for fooling everyone.
Along with every other heifer, Lily and Cowlamity were acting like those triplets that hang around Gaston whenever Jacques LA Beef was around. Moo probably figured Lily wouldn't have believed him, thought he was jealous. As the Code of the West says: Nobody likes a bragart.
As Marshall Moo points out in the last scene, if he had told Lily the truth about who "Jacques" really was, it would have humiliated her and all the other heifers in Cowtown, as they'd feel like idiots for having believed in "Jacques." Nobody likes knowing they were taken in by a con artist. The Marshall handling things the way he did meant that everyone got their stuff back, Barney won't be scamming anyone else (Certainly not in Cowtown), and Lily and the other heifers would be spared a lot of embarrassment and heartache. That sounds good enough for me.
6:18 My little what? Petite means 'little', I know that. But what else did he say? And may I please have an honest answer? (Sorry for sounding rude before this edit.)
9:05 There is a man in the corner of the table he is sitting in that looks like he could be a dog, given its possible black nose. Though, it could be human. Yet, humans are never seen in the show, not even as background extras, since they do not exist in Moo Mesa. 10:47 Jacques Le Beef appears to have human feet instead of hooves, as he took off his boots and went to bed. 13:32 This episode marks the debut of the human girl laugh, which was also heard in “Gary Takes a Bath” from Spongebob Squarepants. 19:50 There is a suspicious picture on the wall as Bulloney confronts Terrorbull might be a human, given facial proportions that can look a bit like a skull.
I have a question about evolution in this show specifically horse evolution like there’s riding horse but also horse people dancing at the hoedown how does that work?
Didn't know tim curry did the voice of the French smooth talker Jacques labeef and his real identity barney finkelberg.Miss lilly and kate were out of character and acted like bimbos. I hated when they wanted to dance with labeef instead of with them.I wish moo Montana arrested him and brought him back to moo mess and showed the girls that they were coned.
You can't arrest someone just for being a jerk, unless he is breaking the law, they can't just arrest someone they don't like personally. And chill out, it's just a cartoon.
I love this showwww. Just wish they hadn't made most of the "innocent folks" and main heroes pale skinned. Also, no strong heroine characters, aside from the one bartender. But she really doesn't do much. And the bad guys are red (main bad guy), red, and black LOL. They totally screwed up the equality and fairness factor, but still such a catchy and addicting show. Purple mayor and red sheriff is okay too.
First of all almost everyone is beige or brown, they're cattle, so this is the color of their fur not their skin. Second of all they're freaking cattle. Cattle. Cattle.
Jesus fucking christ man. This is exactly what is wrong with the world. You took such a long time to read the characters so you can bash them online. Fucking racist moron. It came out in 1992 ya jerk
My childhood right here! Remember watching this on Toon Disney before school!
Wait this was on Disney
Elliot. Colleen. 🎉.

Jim Cummings and Tim Curry...two masters at work!
thank you SO MUCH for having this uploaded
I guess that's why they say.
Never assume an Angel's wings are real, they could actually be a pair of demon wings under glamour.
WE need shows like this today. Sheer class
you said it shows like this one are way better.
Jeff Bennett is a very good singer

The screenplay and voice acting in this cartoon are fabulous.

Tim Curry always plays villains best! His role as the oil monster in Fern Gully still makes me uneasy!

that was 90s cartoons of the era: they not only provided action but also had a moral lesson even adults and children understood :)

Bye l0ser.
I only ever played the game as a kid. All the time when I was on holiday. Didn’t even know that there was a cartoon show of it.

When I heard of this cartoon, I could've sworn it was an '80s cartoon. Never would've guessed this gem came out the same year I was born.
Im just now watching it and it's already good
Percy Perjector Yeah I remember the game but never heard of the cartoon, I think I'll take a look.
The Cowboys of Moo Mesa was the sh*t in the 80's and it's still the sh*t til this day!! Ya Know???

Boy Tim Curry Sure Knew how to change his voice
Poor Dakota, he needs hugs
Yup.
As crooked as the sheriff is, he’s still kind enough to let the ladies of Cowtown off the hook for trying to help Jacques escape from jail.
Probably just as a way to not blow his cover.
Love it ❤

What is the difference between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Wild West C.O.W. - Boys of Moo Mesa & Biker Mice from Mars? 🤔
Me too why are you doing this oh no Joey Bebe

Do you have a question about the evolution of Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horse collar in Mickey's world?
@@Disneyfan82 I have many evolutional questions about that universe

Dakota and Moo Montana are the same voices as Bravestarr and Thirty Thirty.

Barney Finkleberg 21:02❗
One of the most unfortunate names ever. XD
This show shows instant evolution.

Tim Curry voices Jacques La Beef/Barney Finkleberg.
Arthur Denorfia He's my favorite actor. Well, maybe behind Tommy Lee Jones

He's the goat in the opening scene.

It's a cartoon, that's why.
they are anthropomorphic cows.

Stop taking cartoons way too seriously, OK! Jeez!
What am I watching?
you are watching some people's childhood.
azzzanadra
What a tragic childhood.
nope, it was a pretty happy one.
azzzanadra
Not if Cowboys of Moo Mesa was a part of it.
it's a person that decides how his childhood was not anyone else.
also if you don't like cowboys of moo mesa then why bother commenting on an episode?
