Airbag Sensor Fix 2016 Kia Optima

  • I'm not a mechanic nor do I claim to be one. I was just able to fix my sensor with this easy fix. You'll need a flashlight, flathead screw driver, mini clippers to cut back the plastic housing wire unit (warning cut up and down, not across) do not cut any wires in half or across, wire trimmers (to cut back the rubber off the wire underneath), and black electrical tape. Again, make sure not to cut any of the wires connected already. Best of luck and hopefully this will help you save a lot of money.

    Did you disconnect the battery or anything else before unplugging that cable and doing the repair?

      Hey, no I didn't, but probably should have now that I think about it more. I did unplug the battery before that to do a power reset (something I read about) prior to fixing my problem.
