I don't own a plum fragrance, although I've been considering Piguet's V. Intense for a while, so I would love to try this one. Because I've loved Lauder Youth Dew for so many decades (worn by a beloved piano teacher I had as a small child and a very strong emotional trigger but featuring peaches with the spices and balsam rather than plums), I think that the intense balsamic and spicy nature of this would suit me well once our weather cools down a bit. I'm in the U.S. I'm in Texas. Yesterday's high temperature was 104 degrees F, so a certain light-handedness with scent is required. Thanks for your inspiring work, Sebastian!

Basic Instinct, the only VS perfume I’ve ever cared to hold onto, is my reference plum, it’s like a richer, more refined Beyoncé Midnight Heat...This perfume being reviewed reminds me of my old bottles of 20 Carats and Platine by Dana, with the flakes floating throughout. I'm definitely a fan of warm gourmand fragrances. I can't wait for winter to douse myself in sweet cinnamon and warm spicy scents. The only fragrance that I have that has got plum in it is Paco Rabanne 1 Million Lucky, but my nose isn't sophisticated enough to detect the plum note. Plums, Rums, and leather! Yummy. Des Ors Rouge Saray just sounds so amazing from start to finish. A fruity gourmand? Who hates that? Plums, Dates, Sandalwood and Peru Balsam?! Amazing. This one sounds great because you said "PLUM" , vanillas and gourmands are my dream, and because you like this more than Lune Feline (Lune Feline is my fave from this line along with Aube Rubis)! Unfortunately, I did not like L'armes de Desert.....but maybe it's good that you said they are on different color spectrums. I am dying to try this new one. USA

Indigo sent me a sample of this. After 4 months I’m just now testing it and wow it truly is very well done. Only one spray to my hand and it completely outshined my 3 sprays of Bleu De Chanel. My co-workers were also intrigued by the scent for I received several compliments.
I just got a sample of this today and OMG am so in love! This one is a gem. You described it perfectly, for me the balsam with the dates at the dry down got me immediately and then you said the same about the balsamic dry down. The dates and the plums also together are wonderful. I think this would smell amazing if someone gets whiffs from it in the fresh air. I’ll just go and order me a full bottle ❤️
I don't have much experience with plum based fragrances, but I can tell you that as of right now, my favorite one is plum japonais by Tom Ford. I find it very sensual. Closest gourmand would be feve delicieuse by Dior that I been try but I don't like it too sweet but fruity gourmand sometime remind me of the house of matriarch. They have a lot of gourmand parfums, and most of ingredients is natural. I love to try out, message from the USA.

Like you, I love balsamic fragrances but I have never smelled any with Peru balsam, so I would really love to be able to smell it and have this in my possession. I haven't tried anything from this house, the blue line is under my radar as they are fit for summer, this one is interesting and proper for winter and has the impression it's in the same category as Erba Pura from Xerjoff and Flamengo by Ramon Monegal which I love.
I think the only perfume I have with a plum note is Dark Purple, Montale. Right now I’m collecting delicious perfumes that are more for the day. There’s really no way to go out at night for a while, in California. Since I’m on a strict keto diet, smelling like a dessert is my preferred option. 😁
I need to try this! Have you smelled LesHeures Voyageuses Oud and Santal by Cartier? So much of what you are describing is similar. Delicious, warm, plum, sandalwood, oud, agarwood & gaiacwood… slight spice maybe some warm vanilla & syrupy musk without being to sweet it def has a creaminess to it. And it takes you on a scent journey with the dry down. I’m so curious to know what you think! When I wear it I feel like I’ve been napping under a plum tree in the evening on a bed made of carved sandalwood warmed by the sun. It’s so decadent 🧡

After a long hiatus, I've begun to sample and buy perfumes again. My first (and only, so far) plum-dominant frag is Isvaraya by Indult. Plum smells so luscious and sexy in a non-Siren-like way--don't know if that makes sense!--but it's incredibly appealing. I usually feel like I'm wearing a costume that doesn't suit me when I wear the usual sexy frags like Portrait of a Lady, for example. This sounds like a beauty! I just got Rose Omeyade from this house and it's a beauty. My favorite plum based scents are TF Plum Japonais and Decadence by M. Jacobs. I love gourmands done right, not too saccharine sweet but layered, rich, and delicious. The combination of notes on this one sounds terrific. I'm in the US.

Rouge Saray sounds exciting because "saray" means palace in Turkish, so it seems an oriental delicious fragrance with a touch of "rouge", or a combination of oriental-western styles. . I would say my favorite plum scent would be Cassili by PDM bc it’s takes on a sweet and floral scent, it’s really girly in my opinion but in a sophisticated lux way. Also, I think ai would like Rouge Saray bc I love sweet and fruity but woody scent. I think it gives a nice twist to a scent when there are levels/layers to a scent. Amouage- Jubilation XXV( lovely scent with a plum note). I m from Romania-Bucharest. You say this is a fruty gourmand with patchouli? I don t need to know anything else, i m sure it s amazing. Thank you Sebastian for the great review. To be honest, the only Plum fragrance that I tried was Plum Japonaise by Tom Ford. I kinda appreciated it but they say it’s “Japanese Plum “. I am very interested in Rouge Saray, mainly of the dates note. I grow up in the Middle East and in Ramadan I used to have dates with dried plums and milk or vanilla water !! It was my favorite familial times. It’s quite difficult to replicate those memories without the scent here in New York, LOL

I don't own a plum fragrance, although I've been considering Piguet's V. Intense for a while, so I would love to try this one. Because I've loved Lauder Youth Dew for so many decades (worn by a beloved piano teacher I had as a small child and a very strong emotional trigger but featuring peaches with the spices and balsam rather than plums), I think that the intense balsamic and spicy nature of this would suit me well once our weather cools down a bit. I'm in the U.S. I'm in Texas. Yesterday's high temperature was 104 degrees F, so a certain light-handedness with scent is required.

Basic Instinct, the only VS perfume I’ve ever cared to hold onto, is my reference plum, it’s like a richer, more refined Beyoncé Midnight Heat...This perfume being reviewed reminds me of my old bottles of 20 Carats and Platine by Dana, with the flakes floating throughout. I'm definitely a fan of warm gourmand fragrances. I can't wait for winter to douse myself in sweet cinnamon and warm spicy scents.
The only fragrance that I have that has got plum in it is Paco Rabanne 1 Million Lucky, but my nose isn't sophisticated enough to detect the plum note. I only smell a combination of sweet honey and hazelnut.

Well, I'm in heaven listening to your review. I can't believe how much is already gone from your bottle! My favorite perfume that features plum is Kate Walsh's Boyfriend. This one sounds great because you said "PLUM" , vanillas and gourmands are my dream, and because you like this more than Lune Feline (Lune Feline is my fave from this line along with Aube Rubis)! Unfortunately, I did not like L'armes de Desert.....but maybe it's good that you said they are on different color spectrums.

Indigo sent me a sample of this. After 4 months I’m just now testing it and wow it truly is very well done. Only one spray to my hand and it completely outshined my 3 sprays of Bleu De Chanel. My co-workers were also intrigued by the scent for I received several compliments.
I just got a sample of this today and OMG am so in love! This one is a gem. You described it perfectly, for me the balsam with the dates at the dry down got me immediately and then you said the same about the balsamic dry down. The dates and the plums also together are wonderful. I think this would smell amazing if someone gets whiffs from it in the fresh air. I’ll just go and order me a full bottle ❤️

Closest gourmand would be feve delicieuse by Dior that I been try but I don't like it too sweet but fruity gourmand sometime remind me of the house of matriarch. Like you, I love balsamic fragrances but I have never smelled any with Peru balsam, so I would really love to be able to smell it and have this in my possession. My favorite plum perfume is Delectation Splendide by Terry de Gunzburg. Like Rouge Saray, this fragrance also contains cinnamon and vanilla.

I haven't tried anything from this house, the blue line is under my radar as they are fit for summer, this one is interesting and proper for winter and has the impression it's in the same category as Erba Pura from Xerjoff and Flamengo by Ramon Monegal which I love.
I think the only perfume I have with a plum note is Dark Purple, Montale. Right now I’m collecting delicious perfumes that are more for the day. There’s really no way to go out at night for a while, in California. Since I’m on a strict keto diet, smelling like a dessert is my preferred option. 😁
I need to try this! Have you smelled LesHeures Voyageuses Oud and Santal by Cartier? So much of what you are describing is similar. Delicious, warm, plum, sandalwood, oud, agarwood & gaiacwood… slight spice maybe some warm vanilla & syrupy musk without being to sweet it def has a creaminess to it. And it takes you on a scent journey with the dry down. I’m so curious to know what you think! When I wear it I feel like I’ve been napping under a plum tree in the evening on a bed made of carved sandalwood warmed by the sun. It’s so decadent 🧡

After a long hiatus, I've begun to sample and buy perfumes again. My first (and only, so far) plum-dominant frag is Isvaraya by Indult. Plum smells so luscious and sexy in a non-Siren-like way--don't know if that makes sense!--but it's incredibly appealing. I usually feel like I'm wearing a costume that doesn't suit me when I wear the usual sexy frags like Portrait of a Lady, for example. This sounds like a beauty! I just got Rose Omeyade from this house and it's a beauty. My favorite plum based scents are TF Plum Japonais and Decadence by M. Jacobs. I love gourmands done right, not too saccharine sweet but layered, rich, and delicious. The combination of notes on this one sounds terrific. I'm in the US.

Rouge Saray sounds exciting because "saray" means palace in Turkish, so it seems an oriental delicious fragrance with a touch of "rouge", or a combination of oriental-western styles. I am very curious about this "red palace" or "palace red"... I do not have a favourite from Atelier des Ors, because I did not have the chance to test enough of their fragrances. I would say my favorite plum scent would be Cassili by PDM bc it’s takes on a sweet and floral scent, it’s really girly in my opinion but in a sophisticated lux way. Also, I think ai would like Rouge Saray bc I love sweet and fruity but woody scent. I think it gives a nice twist to a scent when there are levels/layers to a scent. I’ve been wanting to try this line for the longest 🤞🏽 Also, I’m from the USA

To be honest, the only Plum fragrance that I tried was Plum Japonaise by Tom Ford. I kinda appreciated it but they say it’s “Japanese Plum “.
I am very interested in Rouge Saray, mainly of the dates note. I grow up in the Middle East and in Ramadan I used to have dates with dried plums and milk or vanilla water !! It was my favorite familial times. It’s quite difficult to replicate those memories without the scent here in New York, LOL
