THIS is a perfect example of what drones are good for, tying together multiple events which a limited ground view can only see, and evaluate, one at a time. Well done.

So many accidental field fires here in Central Kansas over this last week. Great video and gives a good prospective of how fast they burn.

Mike Redmond This fire was burning in front of a 12 mph wind. I would guesstimate the fuel load was around 2,000lbs/ac of grass. Also keep in mind that we're in a severe drought here, and have been for three years, the fuel is extremely dry.

Drones are sure nice to have, makes this a #1 great idea to use during a wild fires and lots of other things to help control or over look this issue's going on, it's a great new look on the future of fire fighting and helping planes and helicopters dum water and fire retardants on fires that small aircraft can't get in those areas that a drone can do.

Doug A I think it's more blind dumb luck than anything else. After the circle got closed, I kept pulling back and the shot kept getting better and better. Just focus on keeping the most awesome thing center frame, that's all I try to do.

God I love field burns. We do a couple little woodland burns and it's a cool change of pace, but nothing beats the big fields.

Kirby Weldon Every day that I wake up and can look forward to killing Eastern Red Cedar, I know is going to be a good day.

That was a perfect controlled burn. All those headfires just running at each other.

what grows back after you burn it off? any fields i have seen burned off had weeds grow back first

It fertilizes the soil, burns up unwanted seeds. Weeds can be dealt with easily enough later.

How about the animals living there?

Some die most live. In the end the population goes up as the habitat is brought back into line with how it should have been and how it always used to be.

you have been drinking too much liberal koolaid, all that smoke falls back to the ground after a while and if it didnt we would be choking on smoke from fires from a million years ago
