Here's round 1 of the Star Wars CCG! We're going with the first box ever released, limited edition premiere from 1995. I'm still getting my bearings on this channel bare with me on this and thanks so much for watching! It truly helps!
Thank you for the fun opening. FYI, SWCCG is still played a decent amount. Regional tournaments regularly have 20-40 people. Most big events are through the Player's Committee and you can get the newest virtual cards from there. Thanks for taking me down memory lane. I still have a sealed BB Premiere Booster Box that I haven't opened yet, so glad you did. Maybe you can get that Main Character graded :) I also loved Star Wars, but this game pulled me in deeply... getting to know all the side characters and even characters that didn't make the screen. So much fun. However, we never played with force drains as kids.
One correction: there were other rare locations beyond the Cantinas (Massassi Throne Room, Obi Wan's Hut, Dark Alderaan)
I started with this game, as well! This is such a unique game because 18 years after it went out of print, guys are still playing! The Star Wars: CCG Players Committee still produces "virtual cards" - new game text for existing cards - to keep the game alive! I played with a bunch of fellas at in Colorado over the summer... and realized you never really lose that magical feeling of playing a card game you love! ;)

Awsome video brother!!!! Even though im not into the packs you open i always love watching packs being opened if ya know ya i mean!!! I was into sports packs but now that I'm older its fun just seein any pack opened for that one AMAZING card that could be pulled!!!!!
And also my son is bout to turn 5yrs old and he loves your son Ryden!!! He always tells me he is his best friend lol( even though they nevet met)!!! Kids are so funny sometimes!!!!!!

I still have my entire collection of the CCG. I'm pretty sure I have almost every single big ticket card from the first like 4ish sets? I still have my light side and deck side deck both still built from when I was like 14. I loved this game.

This was my first card game too. Had the exact same effect on me as well. Cool to see people opening these boxes still in 2019-2020
watching this video reminded me the old good time of MTG and SWccg... i still a mtg player. I think i have a complete collection of Star Wars CCG still in my colletion wardrobe... (5 minuti later...) YEP i have one and also some double on the characters and vehicles... Thx for remind me those cards!!! :)

SWCCG is pure childhood nostalgia for me. It's a shame you didn't pull a Vader, but Obi-Wan is a good pull, and there some other decent finds in there. Unfortunately with the market price of cards, there's absolutely no reason to open boosters apart from the enjoyment of opening them. That booster box retails around $300 sealed now and you'd have to pull ten Darth Vaders to break even. Unless you want the experience of cracking packs, the best way to collect these days is to buy card lots. That being said I'd love to see you crack some DS2 or Reflections; pure hedonism for sure, but it'd be sweet!
I played SWCCG for several years in the Dagobah Region. I competed in Day 1 of the Worlds in 2000 in Orlando but didn't make it to Day 2. My favorite DS deck was Only the (Gravity) Shadow Knows. It was a Tie Swarm retrieval deck, which could kill Home One easily. They would attempt to escape, and I would use Gravity Shadow from the 2P Game. I would travel a lot and play everywhere. I played in Tustin, CA at a tourney with other players' decks, and came in second. I returned with my decks a month later. I surprised them with Eastern philosophy (lol). I lost only one game and barely lost to first place. I still have ALL my cards, but I haven't played in 15 years. Are there any tourneys in the ATL area?
So I opened a box of Premiere recently also. Super nostalgic! And also the best box I’ve ever seen. I pulled a Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo, Millennium Falcon, C-3PO, Darth Vader, Vader’s Lightsaber, and Grand Moff Tarkin.
I felt bad telling the person I bought the box from that it was so good (and I got it pretty cheap).
I actually want you to do more magic and pokemon because its way interesting. But you can do star wars if you want to .

Loved this game back in the day. I still have all my cards and have picked up a few collections. Destroying the Death Star and turning Luke to the Darkside is a major high.
I had no idea people still played this game. I have all of my old decks. Shout out to my parents for being hoarders!!!
Love these cards and loved this game. The rares had two tiers in the early sets. The Main characters ended up in the rare 1 tier that made them harder to get. Either spent a lot for the main as a single or bought a ton of packs looking for them back when this game was in print.

I opened several of those SW CCG booster boxes & never once opened a Vader or Luke. The CASES were totally *mapped*, and dealers would always take out the booster box with the Vader & Luke, and just sold the sealed booster boxes with the lesser-major cards.

My friend owns an antique \ comic book \ retro toy store. I usually purchase most of the non-sports cards he gets in. I have been purchasing all the Star Wars CCG cards he gets in for several years. I now have at least 40,000 of them. I would like to make up a set of them, but there is no numbers on them. How can I sort these things so I can make up a set?
I've got to delve deep into my garage and see if I have a Darth in my collection.
