Hey Justin, just be careful with the SA boat laws mate, Losing fish is nothing compared to having to pay a fine to the government ( Anyone aboard a motorised vessel of less than 4.8 metres in length now needs to wear a life jacket at all times, whether moving or stopped.)

Eba Island was occupied by the Simounds family until the late 1920s, after which they moved to the mainland up near Haslam. Simounds Beach there is named after them. I don't think anyone lived on the island after that.

JUSTIN, the crab guts are the good bit. Mixed it with your sauce and yoy need to try the Asian way. Fried the crap n mix it with your sauce and simple dip with salt, pepper and lime. It's our Vietnamese way of eating the crab, it will be a next level if u dip with salt, pepper, lemon or lime. P.S unfortunately, we don't have the tinny to go out to the ocean. I can imagine how rewarding it will be when u able to catch your dinner. I might try to learn how to catch crab tho 😅

Mate, love your work, but as a proud South Aussie who has spent hundreds of days round that area, just a couple of small corrections. Its Eba (E-bur) island and those crabs are blue swimmers, not sandies!

wow. cant believe the amount of people there these days. i first discovered perlube in the 80s on a trip across to perth. spent a couple of weeks there with a little tinny and saw maybe 2 people. no one camped there at all around march. then again in the early 2000s. no one again . last time was 3 years ago and 1 camp there. ill be back there come spring to begin a 5 or so years trip and hope its not this crowded. enjoying your vids and marking a few spots to drop in. cheers.

You should have checked out the island caravan part. Just a little out of town but the best caravan park I have ever stayed at. No birds to worry about

Why are you guys wearing Black Akubra hats ?
Reason I ask is that in the Cattle Industry a Black Akubra Hat is looked on as unlucky.
Next Akubra Hats you guys buy,
go for the Fawn Rough Rider Hat.
They are way more comfortable, less bad JU JU Karma and cooler Legends.
