The approximate distance from Bangalore to Mahabalipuram is 350 km. My suggestion is to start your journey early, around 5 or 6 AM, to easily avoid Bangalore's traffic, saving you time. Google will suggest three routes from Bangalore to Mahabalipuram, and you can choose any of them because all three are good.
I selected the Bangalore ▶️ Krishnagiri ▶️ Tiruvannamalai ▶️ Tindivanam route because of its scenic beauty. The road was good; the only thing to note is that you won't find many restaurants or petrol pumps on this route. Nevertheless, it's a safe and good choice.
