I was replacing the alternator and needed to replace the power cable that went to the starter and fuse box too. If you remove the oil filter at the same time the top bolt is a breeze to get to. Using a mirror you can see exactly where it is and have free access to it. I was going to replace the motor mount also, but nobody had it near me. I went in through the wheel well to get the alternator out.

Damn big dawg all u needed to do was remove the oil filter and manifold shield up top 15mm ratchet wrench socket 13mm 8mm it comes right out from top

Is it necessary to remove the knock sensor? Some do some don’t
