I bought a pair of pony shoes that were like that with the toe strap. when they came in the mail and i opened them and ran into the same issue with the strap but i guess its different for some people because as i wear them, i have a progressively less harder time walking in them then i did when i first got them. and they're also really easy to walk in :)
I do think the shoes look amazing, but I know I would hate the strap - I've had shoes with iffy toe straps in the past and I ended up with nasty blisters on my pinky toe. Not worth it. If they can be altered professionally they'd be worth hanging on to, but otherwise say bye bye! What did you do in the end, keep or get rid?
I got my fix. I went to a place the fix shoes and I came with a solution. They put a staple to pull back the leather by my toe and now they work great!
try this..I know where I live there is a leather repair store that specializes in repairing shoes and belts and basically anything leather. If you really like the shoes i'm pretty sure that it would be a good investment to actually have that strap pushed back. I don't think it would cost that much because it is so little. I defiantly would take them in and at least have them looked at to see if it is possible before sending them back. hope this helps!
I don't even wear heals, but some of my favourite videos are the shoe unboxings. SPECIFICALLY! The sped up moments. The heel clicking just makes me happy. (Weird, I know). But back on the actual shoes, have you considered taking it to a leather shop to get the strap reworked? Or you could even get another strap added that's higher up. I don't think it would be all that expensive.
1. Those shoes are so so beautiful! Make it work haha 2. Either you filmed a lot in one day or you werent kidding about wearing that shirt everyday. Either way I'm a fan ;)
Omg, love the look of these shoes, but I totally see what you were saying about the pinky toe, and not only is it uncomfortable but also unattractive when it eventually will POP out. Get the creepers, love those as well and you'd get a ton more use from them
@RampageBites i don't think there's a way you guys can see the same stuff i do because literally tumblr is like narnia and i just keep getting more and more sucked in by peoples usernames i end up clicking on and stuff, BUT i do have a fashion inspiration link at the top of my blog that's strictly for my clothing inspiration posts, so that's something you guys can see! :)
They... are beautiful. As a human who can't wear heels at all after years of wearing flats I'd say that the pain wouldn't be worth it. But I'd probably keep them and wear them around the house and just generally spend evenings stroking them.
They look amazing on you, and I only notice the toe problem because you mentioned it. I wonder if you could just add a second black leather trap somehow that would make them more secure? If not, IMO it's too much money to have spent to feel iffy about them.
I read a pinky toe review before I bought mine too and I didn't really acknowledge it because it seemed like only one person had the problem.. but when I got mine.. I had the same problem :( They don't look as bad on you though.. when I walk in mine my pinky just won't stay on the actual shoe it will end up slipping and I will have no stability at all as I had quite wide feet. All the strap needs is loosening a little and placing a cm or two back and it would be perfect..
just watched this (in 2016) for the first time, and bunny, i don't know if you still have those or if you sent them back. its probably too late for another suggestion , haha, but i would say send them back and get different ones. i know if i wore shoes like that, the pinky toe problem would be an issue for me too! love you bunny!
I don't know, maybe you could show glue another black strap where you think the strap should be and add some studs to match the shoe, but it's up to you. I love creepers lol!
I think you could've bought them in a size 6, it's open toed so it gives you that extra room and it would hold your feet and toe in place better. Hope this helps.
@grav3yardgirl they're like the stingers but the official name is "The Sting Spike Shoe". They're flatforms with a 4.5 heel I think. And I don't know yet I ordered them on Wednesday. I'll let you know though :p
Hi love I recently purchased the Jeffrey campbell legion boot in 7.5. Perfect fit with or without my normal socks. Went back for a distressed lita in 7.5. These r crazy snug withought a sock. Do these stretch? Do u find his shoes differ in sizes?
If you're any good with shoes you could move the strap to fit your foot, i know i have a lot of friends who have done things like that and it's worked really well or you could take it to a person who is good with shoes.
Get the creepers if you want, they don't look as cute and sexy to me but if you like them I like them. You can also go to like a shoe shop fixer thing place and get the strap moved up and the leather buckle thing replaced with a better quality one.
I think you should definitely send them back. Comfort over style, always! They're gorgeous, and I was actually thinking of buying them myself. But after seeing this video, I'd definitely have this same problem. Get your money back and get some creepers! They're awesome. :) Thanks so much for posting this video!
i would send them back if you're so unsure about them. besides, creepers are WAY more worth it. they are not only super comfy, but they also give you some height. and they're cheaper. i think you'd wear them way more because of their comfort, as opposed to these.
i think you should return them! yes they're gorg! BUT! if they're not comfy and you have that pinkytoe problem, i think you should find some kind of substitute for the shoes :)
These shoes are cool, but they don't fit so it's not worth it to waste that much cash on something you won't ever wear lol. If you really love them you could try a size smaller? That might help with the toe strap. I personally don't like sandals so I'd go with the creepers. I have the JC Stinger and they're awesome. A bit tricky to walk in sometimes, but they're really fun shoes, probably easier to walk in than those crazy Club platforms you have.
Those shoes are totally hot! I don't think you should keep them considering how much you paid, they should feel exactly right. If you could cheaply get them altered, and they felt better,as another commenter mentioned that would be great. If they don't even after alteration, you wont be able to return them and if you feel awkward walking in them and never get used to it you won't gravitate toward them to wear. I know I've made that mistake before.
I know!!! I tried them on and I had the exact same problem. I feel like they put all the work into the heel and put Walmart straps on the shoe. It took me forever to put on the shoe and my toe was holding on for dear life. I loved them and thought they would be the one sandal that I could wear that was comfortable and match my style but no!!! Sucks!!
ahhh the shoes are SO PRETTY. but safety first ;) and like.. yeah. I wouldn't want to have to be extra careful when I walk just cause the shoes aren't 100% up to par.
Go to a shoe repair place? Get them to adjust the toe strap and put a thicker leather band at the strap part. Or a different material band that isn't as stretchy as leather. Just an idea!
I have a few similar platforms with the same problem, the pinky toe.. I was thinking about taking them to someone with knowledge in fixing shoes.. Don't know if its gonna be worth it or should I just give up on them..
I just orderer from Nasty Gal I'm in nervous, because it's the first time I order to get shipping in my country. So I cross my fingers and wait for the best.
I had a thought...what if you took some filament/fishing line and tied it from the strap across your toes to the strap across the top of your foot (make sense?) If you do it while wearing them it might help pull the toe strap further back and save the toe. If it doesn't work then id return them :/
If you end up not having luck with these, try getting some strappy wooden heels and stud them. That's what I would do...I know it's not the same thing or whatever, but it's still totally rad because you made it yourself :)
I had my eye on those shoes too, but I did read those reviews so I got litas (which are super comfortable). If you're anything like me, return them. I can't wear uncomfortable shoes, even if they're amazing! but it's your decision and your baby toe after all haha :)
I love the shoes... But I feel like that's just one strap, and you could maybe bring them to some professional something or another to get that adjusted. If you can do that, then definitely keep them. Because those are damn sexy.
personally, i would of taken the toe strap off and moved it up. But if you are unsure about damaging the shoe. i would return them for safety hazards, and get a pair that you will be absolutely comfortable and safe in.
oh good god......those are BEAUTIFUL! its too bad about the babytoe.... i would send them back because if you know you're hesitant about wearing them....you wont wear them.
Take them to a shoe repair person and see if that strap can be moved back a little bit so that the pinky toe is more secure inside the shoe. It may be pricey but since you love those shoes so much it's a great investment and you'll feel so much better after.
Oh man how sad is that. the shoes look just awesome! you should buy the ving spike boots, ive got them and theyre great! but dont know if its your style..
Her eyes are perfect

Omg when you jumped and said danger I almost died lol, you are so funny and awesome you make my day :)
Do you ever just look at your old videos? Lol
I do think the shoes look amazing, but I know I would hate the strap - I've had shoes with iffy toe straps in the past and I ended up with nasty blisters on my pinky toe. Not worth it. Did you end up keeping them? I was thinking a trip to a cobbler might've helped, if they could move that strap. I love the shoes!
Pantaleimona I was just thinking that while I was watching this! Going back over her older videos are such you're right she is so hilarious!
@xmidnite thanks for being a new sub! welcome to the swamp party! :D
Gorgeous heels, wish I could wear stuff like that!
Absolutely love love love these shoes I would totally wear them!!
BUNNY! i own these, and the toe part stretches some after a couple of wears so it's easier to get your pinky toe in.
Omg, love the look of these shoes, but I totally see what you were saying about the pinky toe, and not only is it uncomfortable but also unattractive when it eventually will POP out. Get the creepers, love those as well and you'd get a ton more use from them
I would say try taking them to a shoe repair shop and see if they could move that strap. Would be worthwhile for how cool they are.
I love your makeup!! So gorgeous🐊😀
Bunny, every one of your videos amuse, entertain, make me laugh. Every. Dang. Time.

I was so going to buy these, but I'm glad you reviewed them. You saved my baby toes !!!
@alisonahickey i'm so glad you found me too! :D welcome to the swamp party!
just watched this (in 2016) for the first time, and bunny, i don't know if you still have those or if you sent them back. its probably too late for another suggestion , haha, but i would say send them back and get different ones. i know if i wore shoes like that, the pinky toe problem would be an issue for me too! love you bunny!
lol "theres no room for my baby toe!" i love your speed up voice makes me laugh!
Awesome shoes, I have lita inspired shoes, but I can't walk in them too well, only on flat surfaces :D
I don't know, maybe you could show glue another black strap where you think the strap should be and add some studs to match the shoe, but it's up to you. I love creepers lol!
I think they look awesome! Go to a shoe repair and ask if they can alter the strap back abit.
I think you could've bought them in a size 6, it's open toed so it gives you that extra room and it would hold your feet and toe in place better. Hope this helps.
I loves when Bunny "animates" her voice !!
Yup--sorry !!! There are some videos I did not Comment as I was too eager to get through ALL her videos !!!
Thanks ***** dat is sweet of you to say.
@grav3yardgirl they're like the stingers but the official name is "The Sting Spike Shoe". They're flatforms with a 4.5 heel I think. And I don't know yet I ordered them on Wednesday. I'll let you know though :p
Bunny! I feel like you've already mentioned this in a video, but what is the FAB color on your nails. I must acquire.
1) adore you
2) see above
3) the artwork you had on the floor... I noticed some " Clockwork Orange " going on. Where did you get that? I love it!
What about taking them to a shoe repair place and have the strap moved. The way they are constructed it looks like it could be done very easily.
They still look gorgeous
such a good combination of references
love love your shoe analogy with men!!!
"DANGER!"
"I think ill do it a second time"
"EXTRA DANGER!"

Aside from everything, those shoes are fricken amazing!

i literally fell in love with your personality...you're awesome....sincerely, your newest Romanian subscriber ;)
i would send them back if you're so unsure about them. besides, creepers are WAY more worth it. they are not only super comfy, but they also give you some height. and they're cheaper. i think you'd wear them way more because of their comfort, as opposed to these.

hey, can you do a video talking about your favorite literature and your thoughts on it, that would be awesome!
THOSE LOOK SO NICE ON YOU MUST KEEP THEM
i just wanna say that your style is awsome !!!!!! and i love your look !!!!!

What colour and brands your lipstick? it's amazing on you!

have you tried wearing them with tights? maybe the toe problem is reduced? :)
personally, i would of taken the toe strap off and moved it up.
You are the only guru I could watch a 10 minute video on a pair of shoes :P x
Take them to a shoe repair person and see if that strap can be moved back a little bit so that the pinky toe is more secure inside the shoe. It may be pricey but since you love those shoes so much it's a great investment and you'll feel so much better after.
