There is difference between wearing something willfully where u have choice and options and saying monday ,thursday n all...with what u will replace these names of the week for the foriegn people who only recognise these words...

To me its about quality i wear on my feet. Yes there are options but quality is different from shoe to shoe. Islam is made to be easy and not difficult upon us. The more we dig in small things the more harder we make the practice on ourselves. My 2 cents barakallahu feek

@@robertkelly4503 what does adidas mean tho? Wear no name if all else fails. But saying someone's name is their name, it's different. Muftis sometimes mix apples and oranges. And just pick ur check up without saying the name of the day! Like his use of qiyas is horrible, like Mufti Menk too.

I thought they meant if Nike is considered clothing of fame and vanity, not if it's shirk.

are you worshipping your ego? does your ego need the looks of people to your symbol? do you get more value and attention and honor through this by humans????? is it not better to give this money to poors??? where is your responsibility and real iman?

Burak Yildiz that makes no sense just because u can give momey to charity doesnt mean u cant buy nice clothes to feel good in them im not saying dont give charity but to say where is ur real iman is too far because he is just wanting some nice shoes to feel good and also just because he spends a little money on something doesnt mean he is worshipping his ego if i go buy a gucci wallet dont mean im worshipping money just because i wanna wear some adidas shoes doesnt mean im worshiping anything

Nike comes from "nice", a Greek goddess who personifies victory. What has thor to do with this subject? No one wears thursday! You can call the day in a another name. But wearing nike is free! You can choose if you do or not. So: My advice to muslims is not to wear it!!! there is also the background: Why do you wear it? Because you need the attention!!! So you need to feed your own ego!!! So you worship your ego with the looks of the people to this symbol of nike or another brand symbol!!

In that case you wouldn't follow the days of the week and months if you use that logic. Go to work when you like and decide what month not to turn up as you don't follow the Greek terminology or understanding.
