My top 1 for sure is My School President, never felt so good watching a BL like I was watching it, it makes me cry and emotional every episode, the simplicity, and the young love all of them discovering first love was so beautiful to watch, i enjoy every single minute of it, I watch many BL this year but none make me feel like MSP make, it was so magical to me, because it look like I was living something I aways wanted when I was younger, and all the actors were so amazing, as well as the amazing soundtrack too, just love it to heart

My school president 5. stay with me I think the most underrated was Never let me go tho like that was so amazing and people totally overlook it 😢 The biggest let down for me was Dangerous Romance. That trailer was so good and the series was just okay. Also my most listened to song in this year was from My school president lol. It’s the only band show I’ve seen where I actually loved the soundtrack. Like woww

My top BL of 2023 (only thai bl as I only watch thai bl) 1) moonlight chicken 2) my school president 3)only friends I think for me moonlight chicken is the only show that is near perfection or perfect. There isn't any story or character arc that I didn't like about. It really showed us the real-life situations. And the acting and the emotions were so good especially the scene between earth and fourth. And gemini also portrait the role of deaf character so perfectly. As for my school president, though it was a basic, classic bl plot, it really opened many peoples eyes that a simple basic plot can also be good. It was thanks to the chemistry and acting of gemini and fourth as well as the other cast members. Now onlyfriends, I really like that gmmtv is finally getting into more mature and adult content, and only friends was the perfect start for it. Though the show had some annoying parts and characters which I would not like to watch again but overall I enjoyed the show. It was also an eye opener for a lot of people to finally get to see force book acting. My favorite character development is probably nicks character. For me book and Khao really stood up in case of acting and as well neo, I like villan neo. My hidden gems of 2023: 1) be my favorite I watched this show having no expectations, but it turnout to be soo good. I like every character, the storyline. I like that they didn't complicated the staff with time travel because whenever I watch a drama with time traveling in it the make it so complicated that it's hard to keep up. Also I like how they didn't treat pear(aye's character) as some secondary character who doesn't show up again once their part in the story is done. I really like her character, and loved the we get some of her story as well. And we all can agree Not is the worse character ever in the history of bls and to that level that his ghost is following ever show the actor (title) is in. 2) La Plauie: I did enjoy this show and found the premise of the show interesting, it also has some annoying parts but overall good show. Now the worst shows of 2023: 1) luminous solution 2) step by step 3) love syndrome 4) middleman's love (dropped) 5) naughty babe I feel like domundi is going down in their series. I mean cutie pie was not the best story of theirs but the chemistry zeenunew showed overshadowed that part. With bedfriends they really made the main character so much miserable as well there were no warning for the show that deals with SA, where as the show playboyy has trigger warning in every episode even if they have not depicted any to intense level. Ongoing shows that I like: 1) pitbabe 2) playboyy 3) for him 4) cherry magic Shows that I'm excited for in 2024: 1) the next prince (with zeenunew) 2) peaceful property (taynew) 3) vampire project Non bl show that I like : 1) enigma 2) the jungle
My first BL Series was Bed Friend 2023. I don't actually know how many series I have watch that came out 2023 but I have wated a lot of BL's that weren't in 2023. The BL's I have missed in 2023 I shall watch in 2024. Like Pit Babe as I am waiting so I can watch the whole series. Love your videos and yours thoughts, breakdowns of the BL's as it makes me understand a little bit better for the shows so I am thankfully for that. hope your 2024 brings nothing but joy and happiness. Not much to add about your list but i’m surprised Be My Favorite is not up there since i personally believe it’s one of the most well done BL done in 2023 and by gmmtv in general, in terms of plot, screenwriting, soundtrack, chemistry, secondary characters, etc..
I love the eighth sense soooooooooo fricking much (if you can't tell by my pfp). It made me feel something deeper than i've ever felt with any show. like it made me feel like it's something way more deeper than just 2 guys falling in love, it's like finding a person that you would give your life to, someone that you can lean on forever and feel comfortable with them enough to tell them how you are doing. I loved it because I can relate to it. I to had a brother who passed away in front of my eyes. It was earth shattering to me. I felt so alone, i felt i had to be someone i'm not just for other people to like me. that was until i met my best friend, she made me feel like i deserved to be loved and cared for, i felt comfort in her, like i can tell her anything. i love her so much that i would take a bullet for her. I just loved how well they played their characters in this show. it's definitely my number 1 show/bl of all time. like i love it so much, if the show had 500 seasons, i'm grabbing my popcorn and watching them. I just wish the story can go on forever and ever.

I didn't put Kiseki: Dear to Me in my top 10 and this is making me regret it! Hahaha. I completely agree though! I was obsessed with Ai Di and Chen Yi! And watching the behind the scenes with Louis and Nat just made me love them more! my top 10 was: 1. Be My Favorite 2. Stay With Me 3. My Beautiful Man (S2) & The Eternal 4. My School President 5. Be My Favourite - Honestly the biggest surprise of the year I just loved the way this series explored sexuality, Pear is probably the best written female character we have ever gotten in a Bl and I was shocked that Gawin and Krist worked so well together 04, Our Dating Sim - there was just a really simple story but executed really well I adored it 03. My Personal Weatherman - The Only JBL that i actually watched last year and I loved it, so sensual 02. Stay With Me - The amount I cried at this series I just loved how family centred it was and the main relationship got me in the feels every week 01. Moonlight Chicken - This show was just fantastic from the acting to the chemistry to the story I can't praise it enough

My favourite shows this year have been Between Us, NLMG, Bed Friend, Moonlight Chicken, Love in Translation, The Eight Sense, Our Dating Sim, Love Mate, Love Tractor, Jack O'Frost .. I think my new All Time Favourite BL will be Last Twilight, this show means everything to me.. I think I will love The Sign, Cherry Magic TH and IFYLITA too.. Waiting until they finish to watch them.. Shows where I have watched the first episodes and not more is because I have been waiting/is waiting for the show to finish to binge it 😉 A Shoulder To Cry On - Might finish it, was a little "Meh" with EP 1 🤷🏼♀️ My School President - Loved the first EP and can't wait to finish it 💕 Pit Babe - Found the 1st EP ok, and want to finish the show to see if I like the Omegaverse 😊 IFYLITA - Watched the 1st EP and loved it, stopped watching because there was only 2 or 3 episodes out at the time, and I have been distracted since.. Moonlight Chicken and Never Let Me Go (are actually was equally good to me) 3. Unintentional Love Story 4. Be My Favorite (can't help it i really loved the pair) 5. Love Tractor ( this is placed in my top 5 cuz I loved every ep about it, I laughed so much this series made my days back then)

This was such a good year for BLs! I enjoyed hearing about your opinions on 2023 BLs! It's fun to reflect on all the shows we watched and really think about what we actually enjoyed. I definitely experienced that dilemma of best/top quality shows versus my personal favorites. Shows like Moonlight Chicken, Be My Favorite, and Eighth Sense were all shows I enjoyed and were extremely well made but the shows didn't end up taking a top spot in my heart. My top favorites of the year were My School President, I Cannot Reach You, Kiseki Dear to Me, and Stay With Me. These shows gave me a lot of happiness and excitement watching them. 💖 The show I'm most excited about for 2024 is Euthanasia written by Dr. Sammon (who also wrote Manner of Death and Triage). One of the actors is going to be Tor (he was in Midnight Museum) and I'm so excited to see him in a BL in 2024! 🎉 I'm also excited for Next Prince with ZeeNunew. 💗Actually, I am really enjoying DMD Friendship (Domundi reality show) right now. The show is about finding a new pairing among the new gen of boys for a new BL series by Domundi. Even though it's ongoing, I am super excited to see who ends up winning and what kind of BL show they will be in 2024! I already have my eyes on a pairing and I'm praying for them to win. 🙏

It's almost terrifying how I agree with EVRYTHING you said. The ONLY thing that I would change is the order or the top : for me The Eighth Sense is THE BL of the year, and clearly one of the best ever released, then Kiseki Dear to Me was such a masterpiece ❤❤

Interesting choice. Very personal, but with reasons it's became understandable. Good job! For me it is very difficult to rate because I can't specify between many good shows and actors and scripts, and sound tracs, directing and my feelings. It's just me. But 2023 was a good year for BL drama industry. Can't wait for surprises of 2024! Dragon rules!
We have a pretty similar taste, so I'm not surprised by your lists. My top would be : 1rst The Eighth Sense. This show has been the one shows that made me feel the most range of emotions this year. It really resonated with me on a deep level. Then 2nd would be My school President: It made me laugh a lot and it was such a heartwarming show. Then on 3rd I would say Kiseki Dear To me : Every week I would rewatch every episode that would come out before you posted your reactions. I was at the edge of my sit every end of episodes. Very hard to wait a week. Since I cannot end this list at only three I would put as 4rth Moolight Chicken, then in 5th : Sing My Crush and then 6th : I cannot Reach You. Also props to a lot of other shows that you mentioned in your best bl list

I thought I was the only one obsessed with Kiseki: Dear to me. I have watched countless edits and the series several times since it finished. This and We Best Love are my go-to BLs these days.

I and many people really liked Be My Favorite, this series became a lot for me, it made me happy and made me think about life, their love was the healthiest and most beautiful that I have seen in the series. My top 1 BL of the 2023 from each country 1. My school president(Thailand) 2. Kiseki dear to me(Taiwanese) 3. The eight sense (Korean) I just loved this shows❤ Very 👍 🎉❤ About Japanese BL, I just not watch any of them 😅 This year Domindi’s BL’s was not that good. 😅 Start to watch but always drops at 2or3 episodes. People’s are liked DMD’s bl’s because of spicy scenes, but Just not for me, too clingy, too embarrassing, too forced, too cringe 😬 sorry about that. And yesss!…. Dangerous romance was the not that dangerous!!! It’s just okey to watch but not good written. For me this year I liked mostly THAI BLs. “BE MY FAVORITE” this was sooo good. Dangerous Romance was definitely one of the biggest disappointment because the romance wasn’t even dangerous, it lacked a lot and the kisses between the main couple was absolutely terrible. I agree about Paprangs character and the other guy was one good thing about that show. I could say Marc and Win’s characters were also better than the main characters, they had a better kiss scene, too.
I also stopped watching some shows on your worst and guilty pleasure list. Some shows I have not watched yet. I have to agree with Hidden Agenda and Love Syndrome being worst but I love the actors. Especially Joong and Dunk as actors 😢

Not much to add about your list but i’m surprised Be My Favorite is not up there since i personally believe it’s one of the most well done BL done in 2023 and by gmmtv in general, in terms of plot, screenwriting, soundtrack, chemistry, secondary characters, etc..

I love the eighth sense soooooooooo fricking much (if you can't tell by my pfp). It made me feel something deeper than i've ever felt with any show. like it made me feel like it's something way more deeper than just 2 guys falling in love, it's like finding a person that you would give your life to, someone that you can lean on forever and feel comfortable with them enough to tell them how you are doing. I loved it because I can relate to it. I to had a brother who passed away in front of my eyes. It was earth shattering to me. I felt so alone, i felt i had to be someone i'm not just for other people to like me. that was until i met my best friend, she made me feel like i deserved to be loved and cared for, i felt comfort in her, like i can tell her anything. i love her so much that i would take a bullet for her. I just loved how well they played their characters in this show. it's definitely my number 1 show/bl of all time. like i love it so much, if the show had 500 seasons, i'm grabbing my popcorn and watching them. I just wish the story can go on forever and ever.

05. Be My Favourite - Honestly the biggest surprise of the year I just loved the way this series explored sexuality, Pear is probably the best written female character we have ever gotten in a Bl and I was shocked that Gawin and Krist worked so well together
04, Our Dating Sim - there was just a really simple story but executed really well I adored it
03. My Personal Weatherman - The Only JBL that i actually watched last year and I loved it, so sensual
02. Stay With Me - The amount I cried at this series I just loved how family centred it was and the main relationship got me in the feels every week
01. Moonlight Chicken - This show was just fantastic from the acting to the chemistry to the story I can't praise it enough

This was such a good year for BLs! I enjoyed hearing about your opinions on 2023 BLs! It's fun to reflect on all the shows we watched and really think about what we actually enjoyed. I definitely experienced that dilemma of best/top quality shows versus my personal favorites. Shows like Moonlight Chicken, Be My Favorite, and Eighth Sense were all shows I enjoyed and were extremely well made but the shows didn't end up taking a top spot in my heart. My top favorites of the year were My School President, I Cannot Reach You, Kiseki Dear to Me, and Stay With Me. These shows gave me a lot of happiness and excitement watching them. 💖
The show I'm most excited about for 2024 is Euthanasia written by Dr. Sammon (who also wrote Manner of Death and Triage). One of the actors is going to be Tor (he was in Midnight Museum) and I'm so excited to see him in a BL in 2024! 🎉 I'm also excited for Next Prince with ZeeNunew. 💗Actually, I am really enjoying DMD Friendship (Domundi reality show) right now. The show is about finding a new pairing among the new gen of boys for a new BL series by Domundi. Even though it's ongoing, I am super excited to see who ends up winning and what kind of BL show they will be in 2024! I already have my eyes on a pairing and I'm praying for them to win. 🙏

It's almost terrifying how I agree with EVRYTHING you said. The ONLY thing that I would change is the order or the top : for me The Eighth Sense is THE BL of the year, and clearly one of the best ever released, then Kiseki Dear to Me was such a masterpiece ❤❤

We have a pretty similar taste, so I'm not surprised by your lists. My top would be : 1rst The Eighth Sense. This show has been the one shows that made me feel the most range of emotions this year. It really resonated with me on a deep level. Then 2nd would be My school President: It made me laugh a lot and it was such a heartwarming show. Then on 3rd I would say Kiseki Dear To me : Every week I would rewatch every episode that would come out before you posted your reactions. I was at the edge of my sit every end of episodes. Very hard to wait a week.
Since I cannot end this list at only three I would put as 4rth Moolight Chicken, then in 5th : Sing My Crush and then 6th : I cannot Reach You. Also props to a lot of other shows that you mentioned in your best bl list

I think if dangerous romance was a shot series. Like 6 episodes. It would have worked a lot better. It would be more intense and less dragging.

Dangerous Romance was definitely one of the biggest disappointment because the romance wasn’t even dangerous, it lacked a lot and the kisses between the main couple was absolutely terrible. I agree about Paprangs character and the other guy was one good thing about that show. I could say Marc and Win’s characters were also better than the main characters, they had a better kiss scene, too.
