I like the meaning that this song has regarding self acceptance. What I don't like is the fact that when she makes one single joke about girls who are skinnier people totally ignore the part where she says they are just as perfect as every other girl. They fixate on the little things and just post very crude comments and slander about her because everyone takes things like that way too seriously. Please lighten up guys, I know girls who look like a stick who get just as much of a kick out of this song as the bigger girls this song refers to. It's only meant to be for fun.

Jimmy is actually keeping the rhythm on this song and it is pretty difficult. I tried to follow and failed miserably.
I'm not a musician, but I found your com. interesting b/c I saw several saying that Jimmy is all over the place...didn't seem that way to me, but figured the guys commenting are musicians or smth.

well... truth be told, I'm not a musician either, however I do have a good sense of rhythm and I can see Jimmy playing in time. Alll I know is I tried to follow him and I couldn't.
Haha well I used to be a musician in high school and middle school, not bragging just showing my expertise in the area, so it sounds like jimmy is free styling like he comes in when it feels right because his rhythm does not stay consistent throughout the whole song sometimes he's on the beat sometimes he's on the and of the beat again he comes in when it feels right and most of the time he's right, but if you focus on him the whole time you'll notice some parts he's about to hit the drum and second guesses and hits the woodblock again, sometimes he play with the tambourine sometimes he plays when it doesn't play, sorry if it doesn't make sense, if it doesn't I'll be happy to elaborate

walterygor Haha yeah of course he's doing a great a job, didn't mean to come off as a jerk and no worries anyone can keep rhythm with a little practice :) take this song for example in the beginning he turns on a metronome, it's meant to keep time with the beats so just start with a basic beat whether it's with your foot of hands and just start slow, try to not focus too much on it, eventually you'll get it, so be patient :)

Who knew she was this talented?
Meghan Trainor has the most beautiful and unique voice. LOVE her songs about empowerment of women. THIS is a role model for girls for sure. It is so refreshing to have an uber talented artist not twerking and dressing like trash. My 13 year old knows every word to this song. Thank you so much Meghan for promoting a healthy attitude about body image :)
Also the "bass" she is referring to is bass is loud and big and deep. She is singing about being bigger and loving it.

Like "Christian" says, "Bass=thick, treble=thin" great descriptor...
