I have four cats. Two came as feral kittens. Their cat mama bought them to my porch. She pushed them toward the dish of cream and left. She came back a couple of times to check on them and disappeared. They are now a part of my family. Another cat came from a family member who went home to live with her dad due to financial problems. She wanted to take her cat to the pound. She's a black cat and l knew her chances of adoption would be limited so l took her. The other came from my son because he NOW preferred birds. So l uderstand this lovely lady's fondness for rescues. She is doing a super job.
Good for you! How old is your son? Please tell him that before he adopts another animal he should be prepared to take care of it until it passes. I am a volunteer at 2 different rescue organizations and after Christmas we end up with so many animals because people didn't think of the long term commitment they were making. As soon as it becomes hard work they give them up. It's very upsetting for the animals. Thanks for picking up the pieces.

Its sad when animals get old and their owners move on to something else. But l am glad l could take them in. I have the birds now too. (Long story)

One was from a friend whose cat had kittens, one was the next door neighbour's cat when they moved away, a couple came from the shelter, one from my niece who moved into a 4th floor condo (former feral, needs outside access), one was from a sister-in-law who couldn't keep her new kitten because the roommate's dogs terrorized it, etc, etc.
This girl is a gem! Such talent and heart. These transformations just make me weep. An animal's love is so pure. She deserves all the love she gets.♡♡♡♡♡☆
