Males giving food to females is quite common in bird world, if you seen kissing pigeons it is actully male feeding female they feed chicks same way. Its kind of like giving flowers to them also male proving himself he can support incubating female and chicks
It's evident how much they adore each other! I thought I read somewhere, that when a bird regurgitates, or even goes through the motions of regurgitating, it means they have deep affection for the person, or animal they are doing it for! I wish, wish , wish, that Smokey could rehab at home, with her best friends! I know this must be hard for you, but thanks so much for sharing this beautiful video!

I follow your page any time there is a new video, not on any other social media and I would say, just from my own periodic observations that Smokey is 50-75 percent better in terms of energy and activity than I have seen her in months! Good to see her so bright and bouncing. Loved the mutual preening between her and Koolaid. I've been worried we'd be hearing that poor Smokey had passed--this is so wonderful and hopeful to see. Thanks for the update!

it's so difficult to go through times like this, even for your birds. At least Koolaid knows Smokey's still here for him. Sometimes people forget how birds are ?Ike humans in how they interact and have feelings like us. This could be a very educational experience for anyone who does not see birds the way we do. It broke my heart seeing their reactions. Today is the one year anniversary of loosing Tiki, our sun, so this helps knowing that there are those like us that will spare no expense to help them when needed. Thank you for sharing! She is looking spool mu have better! 😂

They sometimes pluck if they have an infection. Or if they are bored (which I doubt), or itchy skin which is what I thought it was until she started plucking her tail feathers a couple days before she comatosed on me. Thank you!❤
