@@GlennMainMusic I just had to have my voice chips replaced. And for what it cost me I debated if I should do it or not. But I went ahead and had the repair done :) It's worth it to me.

Hello Glenn. So nice to see another awesome presentation. Super well done as always 👏. I hope everything is going well in Your world 🌎. Mark Bensette Aux Bois 🇨🇦.
That synth and that reverb sounds great! Espen Kraft kept his after a studio clearout and I can see why now.I really regret selling my Yamaha SPX90 years ago! It had a fantastic reverb.
I will do that for sure , and maybe we could do it as a simultaneous broadcast on your radio station as well… let’s talk about that if you’re interested 😃😃😃 Text me on FB 😃😃😃
Hi, awesome video mate! Just after I bought mine two years ago my 106 was at the synth doc for almost a WHOLE year :(. Corrupt voicechip, both chorusses corrupted, HPF not working (and no replacement available), broken pitch/mod lever, buttons not working etc. etc. I almost cried when I played it the first time. But just like you said, when it came back it was transformed from a howling Shih Tzu into a bass heavy Beast. I haven't found much use for the unison mode though. Seems like the only thing that's a bit crappy about the 106.

I’m running mine through a UAFX DelVerb and I love it. It’s great for basic functionality, but the Golden would be better if you need more advanced features and capabilities.
The first few keys you played at the beginning, I heard KC'S song.... Give It Up. Is it possible KC had used one of these synths on that single? I bought Deepmind 12 last year, I think it has some Juno 106 patches included?? Glen🙂😅
Oh yes , I believe almost every release back in the 80’s used the Juno 106 / Juno 60 / Juno 6. So the chance for “Gove it up” has that sound (I guess you mean the intro cord sounds) is much lightly 😃😃😃
I love that synth. I’d never had the original although I tried it lots of times when I worked at a music shop when it was released… but that’s a loooong time ago 😂😂
@@GlennMainMusicSame! Though I did hang out with a person briefly who owned one and I got to get my hands on it for a few minutes. I think the Behringer sounds great! And for $200. Holy cow. My only concern is, it will break down in a couple years. 😂. I used to own some behringer rack effects in the 90s, though I didn't have any huge issues with mine, I heard others did. Love the Juno 106! ❤
106 with a bit of reverb sounds great. I bought one with sound bleeding through to fix, (electronics engineer). Even with the fault you can hear why it's such a great synth.
It was actually the noise from the Juno X 😃😃 I checked the recording… and on the juno x you can choose the amount of it.. and that line was “open” the whole time 😂😂🙈🙈but it is not 100% quiet… but very close 😃
But then you’re covered 😃 I also have the Juno X , and I just love it. And the fact that you can get so many expansions to it is so amazing… and it sounds soooo great 😎😃😃

😃😃 Great choice 😃😃😃
Which reverb unit is that? I have a cheap SE-50 from Boss and a Quadraverb and they sound OK-ish .. but the reverbs on those sound a bit cheesy :D
This is a plugin reverb : Valhalla Shimmer 😃😃😃

I wish Roland had a much better reverb on the Juno-X.
Yes.. the reverb is not top notch.. but I still like it. It has its own “feel” anyway 😃😃
Excellent! I had a Jono 106 in the 80's. Tell me, what hardware reverb did you use now? Thank you!
The reverb I use (sometimes over-use) in this video is the “Valhalla shimmer” reverb 😃😃😃

he plays the Juno 106 at higher volume then the Juno X, what makes it even more difficult to compare
As i said in the start of the video… This is NOT a comparison video.. and I also point out exactly what you’re saying here as well in the video 😃😃😃

Yes. All caps on the powerboard & a lot of the caps on the jack/chorus board.

Oh yes… that’s a monster synth 😃😃😃 Maybe I should make a video about it as well ;)
Is that difference in volume or 106 sound is really stronger?
It’s a volume thing… but the 106 is an analog synth… so it might be that it’s a bit more “punchy” 😃😃😃
It’s making my Juno X look bad…. But I can’t buy an old synth for huge money. The closest I will get is the Juno X and the Behringer Neptune 80. 😅
