2:17 - 2:37 is some of the most soulful singing I have ever heard... and probably the greatest SLAYAGE of Christina Aguilera in her entire career. I am not a Christina fan at all. In fact, I have a very serious love/hate relationship with her and the way she chooses to use her voice. Having said that, in those 20 seconds I just mentioned, I am always absolutely shook and if she did more things like that, I would have no choice but to become a fan. I’m a massive fan of Celine Dion for those very reasons. Celine knows how to capture a listener and not let them go until she decides she is done singing a song and it’s masterful! ❤️😍😍

camilo yo Christina’s had lessons since her days on the MMC at 12. Then again when recording Reflection for Mulan to hit the high C at the end, and then again during her Debut. The woman knows how to use her voice. She purposely chose to change her voice and create textures and tones to give her voice its own sound and character. No one has looked after their vocals better than Celine who has had a doctor live with her in her house since 1994 and even her voice has changed and deteriorated with age. It’s 100 human for it to happen. Christina knows what shes doing. She cares more about bringing music to life rather than singing perfectly and I’m happy with that.
