    India is a price sensitive and fuel efficient cars market so maruti doing the same by launching this new alto, so new buyers will definitely purchase these as more VFM concern. in terms of safety you cannot expect more in these price bracket and if you want you can go for Tiago models

      Yes! As an ex-Alto owner I appreciate how good this looks compared to our old 2010 alto.

    For all those who are complaining that the wagon r / ignis mid variants make more sense - you’re right & Maruti is a genius - that’s why this car has been launched to give folks the push to move to those under selling mid variants of cars like the Ignis, that too without asking for discounts. The cash cow will still be the alto 800 - and those going for top variants off that car may consider LXI variants of this one. So Win - Win - Win situation.

    Isn't a ZXi WagonR way more worth to buy than the K10 VXi+ for a family? Now that Maruti has tuned this K10 for fuel economy but with so high NVH levels

    Take a close look. It's a old celerio changed with Cosmetic upgrade. Dashboard and back doors are borrowed from Espresso.

    With the rise in ownership of cars and people in cities preferring to have a second car for convenience the Alto k10 looks refreshing and fuel economy is amazing

    I purchased Alto LXI last month July 2022 for 4.5 lakhs on road price...The price for new model LXI from this month is 5.5 lakhs on road...God is with me

    I personally think that the design might be a little dated. I wish the rims were a bit more bigger But considering what this car offers for it’s price, I think it’s a great deal ✨

    I think apart from tyre size and seats IMO the car looks really good!!Pricing is too high for my liking though!!I really like the design of the car from the outside

    Maruti sells the maximum number of cars in the Indian market and they are the experts of the Indian automobile market.
    But, I don't understand the reason they bring in so many cars in the same segment- and especially in the entry level segment. You already have cars like the alto 800, s presso, celerio and the wagon r. All these cars have atleast a few variants with similar prices.

      This has always been their strategy. You walk in to a Maruti showroom, you will have products in your budget say for example from 3 lakhs to 7 lakhs. 5-6 products will overlap with each other. The consumer will end up buying any one because more combination of features that the consumers desire is available in at least any one model. At the end of the day Maruti gained a sale albeit at the cost of cannibaliztion of another maruti product. Kinda like umbrella strategy.

    To me personally, the current alto 800 looks better than the new k10 model.

    Personally I prefer the old alto k10 design and the taillights to this looks exactly like alto 800 except few designs

    If someone is a Maruti fan, why would they buy the Alto vxi+ over Ignis Delta? Just for the touchscreen?

      Exactly why it’s there - to push you towards Ignis - because it’s sales aren’t great at all. Most Alto buyers will still go for the Alto 800 - which is why Maruti still sells that too. Win - Win.

    I was small kid that time and we had a Alto before, and I did wanted to drive and see how it is, I drove the very first Alto k10 and that engine was better with good torque low down and also it felt wasy to drive, I was not happy with the plastic quality and even some vibrations which I felt in that car, and I right know don't find the Alto spacious enough....this car may be grown up, it still lacks solidity, and design is unexciting, I'll take that....but what's more important is safety, it has to be crash tested by Global NCAP

    5.9 ex showroom means in Hyderabad, coupled with TS tax, it'll be close to 7 lakhs on road! For an alto!!!

    In May 2016, my ALTO K10 AMT was priced at 408000. On road price (inclusive of 40000 accessories) was 515000.
    Today I need to shell 550000, a whopping 35% more. And then the Onroad should be 650000 without extra accessories.

    Driver seat headrest and Height adjustable driver seats are must ...not value for money car ..there is nothing for rear passenger may be in next version they will remove rear seats 😀

    This review was too kind. Rear head rests are a BIT small? There are no head rests at all! His head was touching the top but he says "more than enough head room". I mean come on. You don't want to anger Maruti?

      I won't deny that C3 is expensive but you don't have to waste money there on wheel balancing, Alignment as for the Maruti Suzuki cars and Citroen is best in class vehicle. Annually services unlike 6 months.

    A useful feedback for car reviewers. Next time you want to describe non adjustable rear headrests, don't waste time on so many words like marginal support, small, inadequate, etc. Just use one word: "useless" !

    I think Maruti shouldn't named it Alto K10. It looks more like an expresso more and it doesn't have any design similarity with an alto k10.
