No doubt it was well executed, but I feel like it was all a bit too condensed, and definitely way too many sound effects
Just about every shot felt like it had a really quick zoom in on what they wanted you to look at, not to mention the shots themselves being about half a second long

To give credit where credit is due, it’s some of the cleanest editing I’ve seen in a while, and the amount of info in just the simple little details was really helpful to understanding what was going on, but me (and a lot of other ppl after reading the comments) just don’t like the constant moving, zooming and sound effects, too much like jingling keys for a baby and was honestly jarring and obnoxious in the first couple minutes

so you do what viper did but when you go back to Cletus you start mission without spamming director mode and after you enter the mission blow up cletus and exit the mission and do same thing( pause the game and go to game and replay strange and freaks....) and it should be fixed
but you have to be quick when you exiting the director mode

For Tonya's mission on console:
1. Place the sticky bomb in the middle of the X in front of the taxi when you get out.
2. Leave the area until a (?) symbol appears, then come back.
3. Park your car halfway on the road and the other on the sidewalk between the two poles that are close together.
4. Continue from 6:02
For Cletus mission on console:
1. Save your game near Cletus.
2. Then load your saved game.
3. Once loaded in open the menu: **Game > Replay Stranger and Freaks > Choose a mission** (Decline the alert).
4. Drive away until you see a (?) on the map, then drive back while having the interaction menu up(best done in a car).
5. Stop in the middle of the road next to Cletus.
6. Get out of your vehicle and spam Director Mode.
7. Return to Story Mode and quickly explode yourself.
Notes:If you finished dupping your money and you quit the mission you don't have to save and reload your save just continue from step 3.
2.There is this weird state ware you can't switch characters or do anything really reload your save or switch to online.
Be sure to save your game every time you try this. If not, you could lose money.

You absolutely could in theory but I didn’t for 2 reasons. 1) Matt outlined the problem asking for the same number each time so that was the problem that was solved. 2) Including another variable almost always makes the problem harder to solve. In this case, allowing the number of Cs to vary after each B makes finding a closed form for the constraint condition (equation 16) harder, let alone then solving the resulting problem. I did look into this briefly but quickly abandoned the pursuit due to the complexity.
(Also, it tends be to case that optimal solutions are closely related to symmetrical solutions (for an appropriate definition of symmetry, given the problem setup - in this case, the number of Cs after each B). This is in no way a proof that this problem would admit such a symmetrical solution as most optimal, but more a heuristic to justify me not spending the time to solve the more general problem.)

@@xEinvaldxthere's a guy who made a video in one of the other comments. Basically just kill cletus first instead and then follow Mattos instructions. Save, load, Strangers and Freaks alert, etc. Thats how I got mine to work.

Glad to be here for this stream. Editing takes that long that this stream was 2 months ago, 1 day before valentine's day.
Also I can say for certain: This was one of the most painful streams for the amount of people that spammed "timer" after Matt was finished and was testing stuff for hours.
Was this also the stream where a guy really wanted to get Matto to say his name? Spammed all the time and he got his wish when Matto told the mods to kick the guy. Or was it an other one? The timer moment was funny until a point though

i just started playing story mode again in pc for the first time, and tried this bug, surprisingly it's really easy, once you learn it, it's pretty easy. the tanya mission is fairly easy but i had really fun with the trevor cletus mission bug, switching characters buying stocks and repeat, really is amazing😅

The Tonya mission works, I tried it on the PS5 version and I reached the cap of money. Haven´t tried the Cletus mission but it seems ppl are having many troubles with that one.

Ig many people might already know this - the highest amount of money u can have in GTA V is actually the highest possible value that can be assigned to a signed 32-bit integer.
I prefer the editing style of facts and glitches or no damage run videos. , way better then this editing style

8:40 I dont know if someone already said it in the video or the comment but basically 2147483647 is the maximum value you can store in an integer data type for most computers. Meaning that if you go over that, the number will get an overflow error and most of the time when that happen the number juste switch to its lowest value of an integer which is -2147483648. So basically when ou go over the max amount of money you will get a negatve amount.
ps: I am still in the middle of the video so I dont know if he already tested it. If so sorry for the long text.
edit: just saw that the number is capped at 13:30 so i guess rockstar's dev put a "security" to avoid going in the negtives

depending on your gta version, your money will either get 2x or 3x, but if you got the wrong version, it will make you lose 1$ and not work

@@krrishivk0428Are you spamming the weapon wheel as you leave director mode? That seemed to help me since it slows down the start of the mission when you get back to story mode. I'm playing on PS4 so I don't know if this will help or not.

@@un_named81 no bro I don't spam the weapon wheel, I hold the weapon wheel and then select sticky bomb manually. Even if the bomb explodes Trevor doesn't die for some reason.but I found a glitch in Tonya mission in which I can play as Michael and do the glitch after unlocking Michael. I'm trying the same Michael glitch with trevor later in the game with the other Tonya missions but it didn't work so far..

What i found out you can do is, drive over to cletus as Trevor, then run him over so the mission gets abrupted, then try and load a side mission, drive away as shown in the video so the mission respawns, then drive back and stop near him. Have director mode ready for when you get out of your car and just spam it to load immediately into director mode. Leave director mode and THEN, wait till your camera pans towards cletus, then select a C4 and quickly throw it and blow yourself up. That should activate the glitch. Hope this helped

Franklin works no problem but good luck getting Trevor’s to work on console I’ve been doing it for an hour now and it only worked once
No matter what I do Trevor is already in god mode when I leave director mode even if parked all away across the road
I've even gotten a glitch where after I swap to Michael and franklin when I mission fail to buy more I get stuck in a fence as Trevor and am unable to do anything

Awesome speedrun and thank you for finding a similar and simple method for console players. However, I have found another method to achieve this money dupe with both Michael and Trevor using any of Tonya's Tow Truck missions (Credit: @Kirbobish). Hopefully the following makes sense for those who want to know:
Step 1: Do the glitch shown in this video (where you're simultaneously in and out of the mission)
Step 2: Drive to the tow truck with Tonya
Step 3: Get into the tow truck before Tonya (this is easy as she does walk slowly)
Step 4: (I usually wait until Franklin starts the engine of the tow truck - don't know if you have to) and switch characters to either Michael or Trevor
Step 5: When the game is loading into the selected character it will mission fail and say that Tonya was abandoned - ignore this as it is normal and press Retry
Step 6: The game should spawn you at the beginning of the mission as whatever character you chose - sometimes this doesn't happen and you will respawn as Franklin, so keep retrying (for me it didn't work the first time but did the second time - so just be patient with it)
Step 7: Begin buying stocks and mission failing (essentially just follow the rest of the glitch shown in this video - the money duping)

This is a bit old, but i have an interesting question.
Can't i just hit cap, put it all into stocks, fail the mission, then just keep that stock there while i still have the capped money? Wouldn't i technically have 4 billion dollars but just half of that is stored in that stock?

But every time I try to get inside director mod with Trevor the tilles me that I can't enter the director mod while in mission.(And yes I did everything you Said) What I am trying to say is that if I get close the game blocks me and if I do it too early I just go too director mod please help.

The Cletus mission is quite finicky, but it does in fact work. Have been trying for hours, but I was able to do it twice.
It seems like it's either a distance thing or just being able to spam into director mode, and then sticky bomb yourself at the right moment when the camera pans towards Cletus as you load back in.
To say that it's fake is false. But it is indeed a bit tricky to get it to work.
It's a position thing on where you park your car and it seems to make a difference

I like these shorter, more condensed videos with the fast pacing and edits that catch me off guard. I pretty much only watch the chaos runs and video essay stuff, so this is a nice quick treat.

I’m sorry but I’m gonna have to disagree with a lot of the comments here. The editing is way, way too quick. The amount of things going on visually is overstimulating, making it hard to even tell what’s going on sometimes. And this is definitely just a me problem but the quick zooms in and out give me motion sickness.
I much prefer your less hyperactive videos. Some of your all awards editors are especially very good at keeping the pace of the video while not overwhelming the viewer

This is a really good strat on my last play through I used the stock market with the assassination missions from Lester but this is wayyyy faster than that I might do a new play through and use this to 100% the game because I’ve never bought all the properties

For all of the console players that are out there wondering, yes it works with all of Tanya's mission's, and yes it does just work in general
This is one of those moments i regret havinf a custom Notification sound. My ass went "hey this phone's default notification sound is not very good and is rather bad sounding. I know, ill use the Gta V one since it's already extremely familiar." And so now watching GTA videos i check my phone a bunch.

Damn the desperation for views really destroys every unique channel into the same boring unfunny stuff.
Used to love this channel and was a daily watcher from 2020 through 2022 which is when you made your best stuff.

Okay, I test this on console and yes it works! But I’m on old gen and the load times suck so sometimes when I go out to Director mode it starts the mission immediately and I have to redo the glitch but it does work and I have 2 billion now
On which scenario
The glitch was very iffy. I got it to work the first time for Franklin, but after that, I was either stuck dead on the ground, the mission didn't activate properly, or the game only gave me a microsecond to react before pulling me into the cutscene.
To anyone confused at why people might dislike this style of editing: It's essentially "jingling keys" editing, there's no faith in the content itself to keep you interested, all the engagement comes from moving pictures and flashing lights.
The concept is intriguing enough on it's own, but the audience is treated like a child who might click away if they get bored when nothing happens for 2+ seconds.
People dislike this editing because it caters to mass appeal rather than the established niche of GTA speed running. This is no longer relatable funny TH-cam guy, this is E for everyone man, prioritising outreach and engagement above all else. All it's missing is the call to action to like and subscribe and hit that bell! And it's the same slop as the most generic youtubers on the planet.
I'm not suggesting Matt is at all like this, it comes across in the editing, like those genre swap videos where the editor shifts the tone of a comedy movie to horror for example. This is annoying, generic, money hungry, content farm darkviperau.
I think his editor did it. Not himself so can't really blame him. And if he were to remove those effects the effort put by the editor would go to waste. He however out forth the video on TH-cam despite knowing well that this type of editing is vastly different from his own.

@@renuteronpi484I should clarify that I am aware of how Matt recruits his editors, no two editing styles will be the same, and he doesn't strive for a formulaic output. However this style in particular is so jarring and so far removed from typical videos that it's easy to see why people are upset.
Dunno who will see this or if it will even help, but this glitch works on ps4. Ive gotten the glitch to work with pulling favors, but for whatever reason, it doesnt give me enough time enter director mode on target practice. Director mode is blocked out, prompting that i cant enter director mode while im in a mission, which was not the case with pulling favors....... Have no idea why, does anybody??
I think Cletus one was patched or it's really hard to get it I got it 1 time last night tried for 6 hours
No I got the director mode part u jus need to spam fast every time n you’ll get it I js can’t get the mission failed to occur

Still working after the recent update? I can't seem to get into director mode no matter how fast i spammed enter. Just says I can't enter director mode during a mission, and i am a very fast button spammer
