I think the contrast between Gray and Bergvall in midfield is interesting. They played together in the 2nd half against Kobe. Gray's line breaking passing was extremely accurate, but he really fizzed them through, while Bergvall tended to look to more finesse the ball. The problem for Gray was that it made it more difficult for the receiver to control, especially in tight situations. And for Bergvall a few of his passes were easily intercepted. It seemed to me the coaches might have said something because in Korea, Gray was trying the same type of passes, but easing back a little and as a result had few that were cut out, while Bergvall was adding a bit more firmness to his. They have both played very well so far, but finding the right balance in things like this are what takes a player to that next level.
From my naked eye Donley, Devine, Spence, Lankshear & Moore are all good enough for the first team squad. Gray & Bergvall are already locks. Desperation signings lead to overs with Gil, Johnson & Lo Celso. Pandering to fans give you players like Ndombele. The squad is thin but to me 20% - 30% stronger than last seasons. Lets hope that while we can't get everything that we want, we get what we need.
Kulu looked plenty quick to pounce on Son's save. Seems the plan was Eze, Toney or Neto. Toney's replacement does a knee, seems Palace have dug in to keep Eze & Wolves overprice Neto. Desperation on Ange's part to get a striker across the line will not decrease the price. Now thinking of Osimen, Gyorkares & the Bournemouth striker suggests the plan is not completely dead, just heinously expensive. We also still need defensive cover.
If people read what Ange said in the Ali Gold interview they might understand what the process is. He talks about the importance of any target having certain clearly defined qualities, so if you don't have those qualities you wouldn't make the list. These qualities are what the scouting team worked to in developing their target list. I'd suggest for a no. 9, one of those qualities would be the ability to aggressively press and work hard off the ball. If I'm right, a no. 9 like Kane wouldn't make the list. He said if Kane had stayed, he would have very happily worked him into his system, but here we're talking about bringing in a player, so he's looking for the best no. 9 that has his defined qualities. For mine, it's pointless buying someone not on the target list, you might as well keep one of the players the club is letting go. This would be the way to make Ange angry. I think he would rather work to develop the Academy players than buy someone who he doesn't see as improving the squad strength and depth.
Hi lads great channel and podcast been subscribed a while! Keep it up! Was hoping to get you on one of my podcasts please would be awesome how do i reach you?
Wouldn't say we've lost quality, no one has been lost who added anything meaningful to the squad. We could do with an upgrade at CF and a LCB still as a minimum though. COYS
Chris... POSTACOGLOU is not at Celtic now!!...he's at a much bigger club in Tottenham Hotspur....These gung ho tactics won't work at Spurs without a decent Striker and ball winning midfielder... Without a change in tactics and players this team will NEVER win a Trophy 🏆🏆 FACT...

Great show thank you, next couple of weeks will be exciting…we’re going to get everything we want COYS 👍😁
It sure will be! Think there will be a late flurry of activity in this transfer window. COYS

Agree Ian, despite their age they've a lot to add to the squad right now. COYS
An excellent panel discussion. Thanks also for mentioning Spence. Ange's comments about him seemed as positive as you're gonna get from the gaffer.
Thanks for the kind feedback. Excited for Spence. Will be interesting to see if he pushes Porro for a starting spot! COYS

Liked, subscribed and enjoyed listening. Enjoy the guests and far more measured than some other spurs content.
Thanks Rob, welcome to the channel 💪 Roll on the season! COYS
I loved the Lankshear goal against the J League, especial Moore calmly stroking the ball, that would never get to him, into the back of the net.
They are exciting prospects. Let's hope they get some good minutes this season in Europe and show us their full potential. COYS

Thank you for educating us on this! COYS
Yes I can second this - a bit like Dee Yer Ka Rash
Kulusevski's speed is about the same as Solanke's btw. Gyökeres has them both beat there.
Very worried about season…loss of so much quality and only youngsters in…not good! No marquees
